savannahs in the world, most animals that are found in a savannah are: Lions, Giraffes, Elephants, and Zebras.
Most animals have long legs or wings to sustain long journeys migrating across the savanna. Many animals have to migrate every few days to stay away from weather conditions, predators, or having an offspring. Plants have adapted to sustain standing in water for long period of time. Most of Brazil’s cerrado is filled with short twisted trees. Australia’s cerrado mostly has Eucalyptus trees. There are many types of grasses that also can be found: bermuda grass, elephant grass, and even rhode grass. There is even a special type of tree that we use to make bows, or tea with and that is the acacia tree. Most Plants on the savanna has long thick roots to reach deep down for water when there is a drought. Brazil’s grassland is mostly Bermuda grass. The hardest thing about the Savanna is the life living in it. Most animals have to thrive on survival, and alertness. Life is very hard to survive in the savanna because there are always predators looking for its next meal. Different animals here have different ways of surviving and staying away from predators. Some use the environment for protection and others use fighting tactics. No matter what kind of animal you are, there is always a target on your back. The type of soil in the savanna is porous, this has
rapid drainage of water.
