How To Write An Argumentative Essay On Kid Rock
Kid Rock: The American Badass My mother and I screamed at each other, fighting and yelling until our throats felt as dry as a desert. As my blood pressure skyrocketed through the roof, my sweat beamed from every pore on my body. I needed a cure for my madness before I tore the place apart. As I searched for an outlet for my fury, I quickly grabbed my keys. I then turned the keys and my engine rumbled. The snare from the speakers was startling but I found my cure as I scrolled through my ipod discovering my savior. A long calm drive was ahead of me and the one and only king of music, Kid Rock. “Bawitiba and bang da bang diddy diddy, diddy said the boogie and up jump the boogie.” Trying to analyze the above song lyrics is very difficult. …show more content…
One of the biggest things that set him apart from other artists is his tour ticket price. In attempt to give fans some breathing room financially at the box office, in 2013 he began his “Best Night Ever” tour and capped ticket prices at $20.00 each, including parking. Other artists and promoters thought this concept was crazy and there was no way he could make money that way. He risked a pay cut of $100,000 per night. Logan, of the advocacy group Fans First Coalition said, “Clearly, he has a large blue-collar fan base, salt of the earth. Twenty dollars really speaks to them.” By running with this new innovation, Kid Rock managed to draw in new fans, and coax old ones back into the fold (McCollum). Kid Rock had so much success on his 2013 tour, he decided to do another summer tour in 2015 and he brought Foreigner along with him. First Kiss: Cheap Date Summer Tour sold over 650,000 tickets over 40 shows (About – Kid Rock). With such high demand, people were buying tickets in bulk and reselling them on average for about $142.21 to $238.00 each depending on venue (Lawrence). In attempt to knock secondary market profits, he put on a record breaking 10 shows at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan. He wanted to ensure fans had a chance to see him live in concert at an affordable price. Not only were the ticket prices low, but also merchandise was sold for no more than $20.00 and fans could enjoy a …show more content…

He was presented with the 2014 Operation Troop Aid ‘Patriot Award. Operation Troop Aid (OTA) is a non-profit organization that supports troops overseas and they present this award annually to celebrities who contribute. "Kid Rock is one of the most giving entertainers I have ever met," says OTA founder and executive director Mark Woods. "He really gets it... Last year, Kid Rock challenged his fans to help raise money to send care packages to the troops. In one short month, we were able to ship over 500 care packages just in time for the holidays. His art, legacy of family and Spirit of Patriotism is exactly why this award exists." (Charity – Kid

My friend John Le, who I have known since high school, always enjoyed heavy metal music even though everyone else in our friend group enjoyed more traditional teenage music genres, such as hip-hop, R&B, and pop. His music choices alienated him somewhat from the rest of us and lead to many arguments between him and myself on the merits of the heavy metal genre, which works out perfectly because I chose to interview him due to this genuine interest in the experiences that shaped his adoration of heavy metal music. In this essay, my interview with John Le reveals that his fascination with heavy metal music stems from a desire for a genre to express emotional mood shifts and rebellion from the traditional rigid constraints (as well as expectations)…

The prices of college tuition have increased yearly, and not much of an effort is put forth to try to lower the costs. For example, colleges in the state of Pennsylvania have a high tuition. Moravian College’s tuition is about $32,931, and after receipt of grants and scholarships for one year it will be $22,900. East Stroudsburg University’s tuition is about $6,240, and after receipt of grants and scholarships for one year it will be $12,500. I can barely afford Community College, and I know for a fact I wouldn’t be able to afford any of these colleges or universities either. In this essay, I will explain through facts and opinions, why the cost of college tuition should be lowered.…
