How Wwe Came About
On February 21, 1980, the son of Vincent J. McMahon, Vincent K. McMahon, founded Titan Sports, Inc.[22] and on June 6, 1982, purchased Capitol Wrestling Corporation Ltd. from his father and other stock holders (Arnold Skaaland, Gorilla Monsoon, and Phil Zacko).[21] The elder McMahon had long since established the northeastern territory as one of the most vibrant members of the NWA. He had long since recognized that professional wrestling was more about entertainment than actual sport. Against his father's wishes, McMahon began an expansion process that fundamentally changed the industry.

The original logo for the company.
The WWF was not the only promotion to have broken ranks with the NWA; the American Wrestling Association (AWA) had long ago ceased being an official NWA member (although like the WWF, they seldom left their own territory). However, neither of the defecting members attempted to undermine the territory system that had been the foundation of the industry for more than half a century.
Other promoters were furious when McMahon began syndicating WWF television shows to television stations across the United States, in areas outside of the WWF's traditional northeastern stronghold. McMahon also began selling videotapes of WWF events outside the Northeast through his Coliseum Video distribution company. He effectively broke the unwritten law of regionalism around which the entire industry had been based. To make matters worse, McMahon used the income generated by advertising, television deals, and tape sales to poach talent from rival promoters. Wrestling promoters nationwide were now in direct competition with the WWF.
Hulk Hogan, due to his appearance in Rocky III, had a national recognition that few other wrestlers could offer, which is what led McMahon to sign him. Roddy Piper was brought in, as well as Jesse Ventura (although Ventura rarely wrestled in the WWF at that point due to the lung disorder that caused his retirement, moving to the

The duo would hold the title until El Canek left CMLL in November 1994. CMLL held a 32-team tournament from November 11 to December 16, 1994. In the finals "Los Cowboys" (Silver King and El Texano) defeated El Satánico and Emilio Charles Jr. to become the second ever CMLL World Tag Team Champions. NWA’s strengths come from the structure of how the company is operated. Currently, NWA is owned and operated by its Founder and CEO, who is also the only Agent employed by the company. There were no sensations such as Hulkamania. Hulk Hogan started all of that. In 1982 Hogan bribed a worker backstage of an event five hundred dollars to play the song “Eye of the Tiger” when he walked out to the ring. This was the first time in history any wrestler had done this. Hogan had originally asked Vince McMahon senior if he could play entrance music when he walked out to the ring and he said that he would consider. McMahon eventually agreed to letting Hulk do this meaning he had wasted five hundred dollars on bribing the worker but Hogan didn’t see the need to ask for the money back. When Hogan walked out to the ring with the song “Eye of the Tiger” playing in the background there was an overwhelmingly positive reaction from the crowd in regards to the music. So from then on entrance music became a regular occurrence in the WWF and even continued to this day in the WWE. Hogans run in the WWF and WWE was an influential one that didn’t just involve him being the founder of the entrance music. Hogan was also the first superstar to not only be a professional wrestler but also the first to be a moviestar. Hulk Hogan appeared in films such as “Rocky III” and “No Hold Bars”. The events in the movie tied in to Hogan's actual storyline in the WWF. In the movie the main protagonist is a man named Zeus who Hogan has to fight to prove himself. But the fighting was not limited to the film. For several weeks Hogan and Zeus had a heated rivalry. Since Hogan had been the first superstar to ever do this, the idea of a rivalry storyline got fairly positive reactions from the fans. Rivalry storylines are also a common phenomenon that continue to this day, Hogan's being the first left a lasting impact on the WWF and…

As Atlanta Consultant John Bevilaque stated, the WWFE “was stepping into an area that is really beyond their current expertise.” The NFL was king: 41% of Americans claimed watching it as their favorite leisure sports activity. The XFL was going to bring football to its roots; a response to the overregulation of the NFL. New rules promised a wide open, fast paced game that fans would love. It would encourage individuality and create stars. The problem was that they didn’t have the players to do it. They had NFL “has-been” and “never-were” players. There was no way that the XFL could be the best in the world at producing football games. In the end, what they had was “regular football, and not very good football.” There were many low scoring games, including a 19-0, scoreless 2nd half game on opening week. Some weeks had games where no team scored over 18 points. No one wanted to watch low scoring, boring football games. Owner Vince McMahon was clearly growing for growth sake, actually viewing it as a “logical extension of the WWF.” Their passion…

Starting with the primary activities, the WWE utilizes all of them when they are trying to get the product to the customer. Inbound logistics deals with the preparation of the live event. Contacting suppliers to make sure all of the trucks have all the necessary components needed to piece together the event. This adds value because poor inbound logistics could lead to the live event not being ready in time and could cost the WWE millions. Next, the company needs to take the inputs and work on getting them to the final products. This involves setting up the live event and even the accounting needed to make sure that they are on budget. The WWE has gained a competitive advantage by using family in the their operations. Linda McMahon is the CEO while her son manages all aspects of the website. Outbound Logistics deals with finally getting the event to the customer. This can include ticket sales and providing deals with the Pay-Per-View service provider. This can also include putting out DVD’s of the wrestling matches to the fan. By using the website for these products, they can really cut costs and really set their own prices that their dedicated fans will pay. Marketing and sales is another area where the WWE shines. As stated, the WWE has a strong web presence where marketing is cheap and can reach a targeted audience. It also is shown on multiple channels, cable and basic cable, which help cater to all audiences. The brand name really helps to sell itself, so not only is the product great but the reputation is stellar. The WWE understands their audience, the age group it targets has strong computer knowledge, so it can set up web-only strategic contests and video content that were very successful. The last component of the…
