How I Felt Like A Broom Today
HOW I FELT LIKE A BROOM TODAY
In simple terms , the broom as we all know has the job of cleaning up our rooms. And that’s about it. It drives out the dust and other particles that we do not want in our room which mainly includes waste.
The broom shares a similarity with alum. Alum attracts all the particles towards it self (coagulates) and settles down at the bottom of the vessel.
The broom does exactly that. Its hair brushes away all the dust and waste particles and renders the room neat and clean.
That’s exactly what some of us good people end up doing either intentionally or unintentionally to others around us.
Now we can take it from three angles:
One can be that we help them overcome their insecurities or bad habits by talking it out with them or giving them a helping hand.
The second one can be that we tolerate their unacceptable or harsh behavior and save others the brunt of it.
The third can be ,we, ourselves getting into a bad habit and thinking that everything around is “just fine” as everybody else is very much involved with us in what we do. Most likely it’s the third case that we fit ourselves into since nobody can see a person rise leave alone help them.
Lately I have had this feeling {the third one}of being a broom, an alum particle, collecting all the impurities and unwanted particles and thinking that the atmosphere is clean and fit for further wrong doing.
Sometimes, yes the second one too , just silently listening to others and not complaining about their behavior which would in turn do good unto them .
But then again , the point is about maintaining the atmosphere of peace by “sweeping the unwanted things under the rug” not realizing the fact that in the long run things would just be bitter for the broom as more of cleaning would come its way , wearing it out and reducing its life span by the sweep.
Now if the two talk it out i.e. the one, who is the broom tells the other one who is the one creating trouble { more likely the dust particle}
