How I Met Your Mother was inspired by Carter Bays' and Craig Thomas's idea to "write about our friends and the stupid stuff we did in New York".[3] The two drew from their friendship in creating the characters. Ted is based loosely on Bays, and Marshall and Lily are based loosely on Thomas and his wife.[4][5] Thomas's wife Rebecca was initially reluctant to have a character based on her, but agreed if they could get Alyson Hannigan to play her. Hannigan was looking to do more comedy work, and was available.[4]

Ted Bundy was born Theodore Robert Cowell to Louise Cowell on November 24, 1946, at the Elizabeth Lund Home for Unwed Mothers in Burlington, Vermont. After eight weeks at the home Louise returned to her parent’s house in Philadelphia to raise her new son. For the first several years of his life Ted Bundy thought his grandparents were his parents and his mother was his sister. In 1951, Louise and Ted Bundy moved to Tacoma Washington; and Louise married Johnnie Bundy, a military cook. Despite his parental circumstances and meager surroundings Ted Bundy was well behaved and grew into an attractive teen who was generally liked and who performed well in school. After high school he entered the University of Puget Sound and continued to do well academically; but felt uncomfortable around his fellow peers who were predominantly wealthy. In his sophomore year, Ted Bundy transferred to the University of Washington to escape the uncomfortable feeling of his financial status.…

His mother Eleanor Cowell, was twenty-two years old and was unmarried when she had her son Ted, which scandalized her deeply religious parents. She later brought Ted to her parents in Philadelphia. To hide the fact he was an illegitimate child, Bundy was raised as the adopted son of his grandparents and was told that his mother was his sister. In 1951, Eleanor later moved with Ted to Tacoma, Washington and finally became married to Johnnie Bundy. At the age of 3, Ted became fascinated by knives and other burglary tools he can find. He’s imagination was not like any ordinary child as he grew, but he’s imagination was more dreadful. In school, Bundy was a shy and bright child who did well in school but not with his peers. Paralleling this tendency, ‘Biography Editors’ points out that as a teenager, a darker side of his character started to emerge. He started to look in other people’s window and thought nothing of stealing things he wanted from others. Next, while he was a student at the University of Washington, Bundy fell in love with a wealthy and pretty young woman name Carole Anne Boone. He became married and brought a beautiful daughter in the world in October of 1982. Finally, Bundy’s horrible imagination was starting to grow bigger and bigger over the years. Even though, he attended the best school in Washington, met the love of his life, nothing didn’t stop his imagination of killing by making it a…

He first got his chance in 2003 with the program Welcher & Welcher, which focused on the staff on an inept legal firm. The show did not include a laughing track which made it difficult to reach a wider audience, running for only eight episodes. Micallef himself honestly branded that “two of the episodes stink”, and he believed “I don’t think the ABC liked this show”. He stated years after doing Welcher & Welcher that he “could go back and do a sitcom better than I did". Eleven years on and Micallef created the sitcom series The-Ex PM. It can be argued that it was an unsuccessful show, lasting just one season, criticized by analysts, “The Ex-PM shows what happens when a single writer struggles with a solo voice”. Micallef admits "I have done a few things that are lesser than stellar successes”. He goes as far to concede he does not have the skills to create a sitcom, “I can't do everything, I appreciate that I have limited skills”. Unlike such successful comedy sitcoms like Kath and Kim, which received three logies and was viewed by over 2 million viewers each episode. Also, the classic Mother and Son, which ran for ten seasons, receiving four logies. Micallef had many successes during his time as a comedian, but as aforestated he was unsuccessful in sitcoms, almost tarnishing his…

Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down, and I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there, I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-air. These are the opening lines to the intro song of the television comedy “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, that me and every 90’s kids with a TV has had memorized since the day we first heard it. Even as you read that first sentence, you can’t help but to rap the words, and hum the tune as you envision a young Will Smith spinning on his royal chair with the graffiti background. The effect of the lyrics and the music video to this intro song goes way beyond pure entertainment value. The music video and lyrics spread happiness, smiles, and even helped to usher in a new generation of kids with the carefree fresh prince mindset.…

Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother is not a nice guy. Façade-ing as a good guy searching for true love, Ted went out and dated and slept with girls after girls for at least a decade, then after a number of years, now spends another decade to “share” all of his exotic experiences with his teenage children. “This is the story of how I met your mother”, he said. “I slept with this girl and that girl, etc. including your aunt Robin whom I still have a crush on”, he might as well have said. Oh and, I’ll briefly talk about your mother at the very end so that we won’t feel so bad.…

The word mother is a simple word but has many more different definitions. This could be the legal, social or traditional way of looking at a mother. A legal definition of a mother is such that as the legal dictionary 2012 states ‘a woman who has born a child is deemed a mother’. However this cannot always be the case for some women. As some women cannot bear children so one of the alternative solutions for them is to go down the route of adoption, other stages also such as fostering or even surrogacy. The social way of looking at a mother was mainly confined to mother and child and that the mother…
