Democratic leadership is defined as leadership which allows the exercise of free opinion and input of employees to the leader. Ultimately, business decisions are still under the Leader’s responsibility, it does take the consideration of other members. (Cherry)
Transformational leadership is defined as simply leadership built upon advancement of higher levels of moral and motivation. Basically the leader and followers are bound together through the strength of the Leader’s vision and personality, leaving an impact of its followers to garner trust respect and admiration. This leadership style often encompasses a mix of Autocratic and democratic leadership, autocratic in the sense that the entire team is driven by the same goal and given tasks but allowed to speak out and give opinions and contribute to the company.
Concept of Transformational Leadership: How it motivates the followers
Intellectual stimulation: Transformation leaders challenge the status quo and encourage creativity in followers.
Individualised Consideration: Transformational leaders like Schultz involve offering support and encouragement to individual followers, often being great communicators, listening to follower’s ideas and giving direct recognition to that follower’s contribution.
