Job Description and Recruiting Strategies Worksheet

Conduct an interview with someone who has a career or job position that is different from your own. Identify the duties associated with his or her position, as well as any skills and abilities necessary for the position. Use the information gathered in the interview, as well as the Week 3 readings, to complete the following worksheet. Answer each question in paragraph format.

The job interview analysis was conducted on Christina Lang. Christina is employed at Animal Medical Center as veterinarian technician who cares for injured or ill animals. Christina’s job duties include preparing exam rooms, assisting the Veterinarian in surgery, providing wellness strategies, and collecting blood and stool samples.

Animal Medical Center cares for injured or ill animals. Christina Lang a veterinarian technician works under the supervision of a licensed Veterinarian during surgical procedures. Veterinarian technicians’ responsibilities include assisting the doctor in surgery, preparing exam rooms, providing after care, trimming nails, removing stitches, grooming and providing clients with pertinent wellness information.
