vacation, and the expectations for our exams were unclear. I also took my exams for this class in a testing center on a computer where the formatting for the questions was misplaced and answer choices were presented in different fonts or bolded in a misleading manner. I am unsure if my experience was consistent with other students, but I did not address it with the professor as I should have. However, I do believe I learned a great deal from this course and all of my questionable academics do not depict the reality of the benefits I have earned from the courses taken during my undergraduate years. Being selected for an interview has been a blessing and a pleasant reminder that my past years were not in vain. I hope to prove I am capable of handling the workload required by a medical student, and wish I could have shown that in my MCAT performance.
However, I had an exam in all three of my classes the week before taking my MCAT. I did not have the opportunity to explain during my interview, but I ran out of time during the second section, CARS, and had to guess on 21 questions for a section that was my best during practice tests. This may have effected my mindset when completing the rest of the test, and I know I could have earned a score worthwhile if I did not get fixated on a passage I should have skipped. I do not address my inconsistencies to provide excuses, but I hope to allow a picture of my situation to be seen. I am very thankful for the opportunity to be considered for admissions, and I will provide my recent volunteer experiences when I have the time to write about what they mean to me. I was chosen to volunteer with the SSTRIDE program in the fall and continue to serve in it now as I have seen the potential impact to be made in the lives of our local community. Thank you for taking the time to account for updates in my application and I hope you are having a great
week!
