I’m not sure how Ms. Pivoda is able to negotiate an additional 5% when I was “flatly” denied when I asked Ms. Pellegrini if I could negotiate my starting salary. The reason provided to me at time of the denial was that AOC does not allow for any starting salary negotiation. Unbeknownst to me that only “favored” individual would benefit and able to negotiate.
Adding insult to injury, in the classification study performed by Fox & Lawson, Ms. Pivoda was originally classified as a Business System Analyst and not a Senior Business System Analyst. However due to the influence of management, for unknown reasons or avoidance, she was reclassified back to Senior Business System Analyst before the final classification was sent out to the staff. At one time, the organization chart for COE, reflected this lower classification as well; however, I didn’t save a copy knowing that HR already notified her with her current classification of Senior Business System
