During the Antebellum Period, racism had became a major issue in the newly born Republic. Slavery dominated the country still and industrialization became prevalent during this this time period. For example, a child born in a rich family will inherit all the money and lifestyle. While a child born into slavery family, will grow up to be a slave causing future generations to also have characteristics of a slave. Being born into a social class can developed to be very beneficial or very harmful. Higher class people are more willing to give money or try to give their children form their social class to have a better lifestyle, education and future. While people born into slavery develop more low class standards such as survival from cruelty, starvation, and manual labor. But, people change their social class. For example, a slave may escaped their owner’s home and decided to start over his job.
