Being a full-time student can be demanding in this day and time. With education cost on the rise and most students have to work a full-time job to support themselves, getting a degree can be exigent. With less hours of study time and juggling being an adult can overwhelm a student. Do you think the internet has made students less ethical? Yes I do. Not only do I think the internet has made students less ethical but society has a contributing factor as well. Back in the early 90’s when I first started college the library was your best friend. A student would have to really study and read in order to complete assignments. With the internet so accessible and no type of stipulation as to the material that can be seen, a term paper or a test can be purchase for a small fee. With on-line education also being a new way of learning it makes it easy to access these materials that are not valuable to a student. Now, I really thought at first that these materials were to guide a student as to what the assignment will require to get an A but some students use them and pass it off as their own work. Since there is new technology that can detect purchase essay or work, it makes it imposable to receive credit as work that the student has completed.…

The form of media that is very popular is music. This is something that is worldwide is so many different languages. Music has been a part of our lives for decades and it is a media that is not going away at all. There are many different types of music from Country, Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Gospel, Rock, Jazz and many more. Music is more than just entertainment, it something that can relax you, keep you motivated, or be able to relate to what the person is singing about. Music for me is a way to release stress and to relax when I’m in the car going home, at the gym working out, or at home working on my car. Music has been changing with the way technology has and making the quality of sound much better than it was in the 60’s and 70’s. Music is a big influence on young kids and older people and for some it’s a way for them to express themselves through there music. The way people feel about music can change how they feel about something or if there in a bad mood it can help relieve some of the stress. Music has done a lot for different charities from Breast Cancer, Feeding the Hunger, and for Aids research. Music is not just entertainment as most people may think, this is something that is a way of life for the people that produce and write music. So for me music has always been a part of my life and my family and will continue to be a part of my life and my…

    Note Taking Skills

    • 1786 Words
    • 8 Pages

This is without a doubt an easy question to ask, considering the fact that most students have access to the lecture notes and text books which might be heavier than they would prefer it to be. However, it is a common misconception, made by countless number of students, to be under the impression that their text books would cover everything they need to know (Coacher, 2011). Everything that might be evaluated in assessments might not be in the textbook and it is unlikely that one would recollect everything discussed in every lecture of each module. Therefore, note taking is infinitely more important than what most students would have been considering it to be at first and it would save a great amount of time as well. Also it might actually be more complex than one would have previously imagined. This is because there is more to note taking and making than just writing down important points.…

I have learnt that just listening to whatever it is we are talking about or reading has been very useful because it makes remembering the content easier. I have also found that I am better at writing assignments with a very specific structure. Structures such as SEEEC and introduction, 3 body paragraphs, and conclusion help me a lot when writing because it allows you to know exactly what you have to write next without having to figure out what goes in between. I also have found that highlighting my notes is very effective because it makes it easy to find the main points quickly when going back to it. It also allows me to listen to the teacher while finding the important…
