In the practices of community psychology, it is primarily critical because respect, beliefs, values, support and awareness, and interpersonal behavioral skills in one’s own culture and within the controversial culture is essential. Additionally, collaborations can place an extra burden on persons who are working across dimensions of diversity. it is necessary to preserve a diverse set of skills from when working with members of a culture. Lastly, community psychologists view human diversity as critical because culturally community programs report the deep structure and the surface structure of a culture.
