When the researchers started their first experiment. They started with 300 people from Norway House Cree, with selected 125 people to receive vitamin and mineral. They also found out that the people were living on less than 1,500 calories per day. They were wanted to figure out about human vitamin and mineral requirements. Because in 1940’s a lot of researchers
had many questions about the effect of vitamins on humans. This experiment continued until 1947. Of course, the scope of this experiment was even greater and the children were mobilized.
I think this experiment was bad. Because the experiment was not created equal. In other words, this experiment was against the human rights. The experiment on the human should concern more about safety. It is a foolish idea to think that people whose were in bad condition and have no access to nutrition supplement to be used experimentation. The reason why human rights must be strongly enforced and create equal in every region and in all people. However, the researchers did not respect the human right, also they used unprivileged people for their experiment. This behavior will never be forgiven.
