Human trafficking is the action or practice of illegally transporting people from one area to another, typically for the purposes of forced labour or commercial sexual exploitation. In the U.S, 2.4 million people every year end up being in the human trafficking industry in some way as victims. For example, teens around the age of 13 tend to run away from home, That's a targeted age because the younger the victim, the more the trafficker receives in money.Sadly this can happen to any women, young teen or even a male child. This crime is often committed in disadvantaged areas of the U.S. The process of trafficking takes place everywhere from neighborhoods, airports, vacant buildings, etc but one place that tends to process is over the internet. Another reason they may not have sympathy for those being trafficked is because the victims and their eligible families receive services like employment, income, mental health, housing, etc services to help them recover under the Trafficking Victim Protection Act (TVPA).
