Humans are Good: An Argumentative Essay
Human beings are good, as shown in a historical example, and a literary example. Humans have shown good by the Civil Rights Movement, A Christmas Carol, and Andi Davis and her decisions to help a dog in need. Peoples actions may seem selfish or like they don’t care but deep down human beings are good.
Humans beings have shown us that they are good from their historical impacts like the Civil Rights Movement. December 5th 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man. This action that Rosa Parks decided to do started the strict segregation of colored people and white people on the Montgomery Busses. Martin Luther King Jr. led the strike of the Montgomery Busses because they wouldn’t let black people on the busses. “ We hold these truth to be self evident : that men are created equal.” ( Biography online). People underestimate what a story has to offer. A Christmas Carol, people all know that at first thought you think of old mean Scrooge. Scrooge has many sides to him, Scrooge shows us that even though he was rood and old he still has a heart deep down. “ Leaping from a stool, waistcoat he staggered back …. therefore I’m giving you a raise in your salary.” ( page by page) Also, Scrooge decides to give his nephew Fred a turkey, “ It was a turkey he never could have stood up on his legs, that bird.” Scrooge goes to heart and knows that Fred's Family isn’t very rich and decides to give them the biggest turkey in
