The character of MikkyBo is important to the author's point of showing that all things, human or not, are able to have emotions, even if it isn't always showing. This is proven through the story because, MikkyBo, who is apart of the race of humanoid robots known as Hu-bots, are shown as cruel and programed to show no emotion. However, MikkyBo is put in multiple situations where those labels become false. One of these situations is when she finds herself feeling sorry for the humans, and other “negative emotions”. The other is when she shows regret after she runs into the side of the car Six, the main protagonist, Dubs, a secondary protagonist, and Trip, a side character are in. The bump caused the car to go airborne and roll across the road, landing on its top. She thinks that the had killed them, which created human feelings, causing her mind and body to malfunction. The type of readers who would like and understand some aspects of this novel would be in the high school to adult range, including some eighth graders because of the controversial emotions of some of the characters. Furthermore there is some language that younger readers probably shouldn't read, but fit the story. The author was also very descriptive with the deaths and visuals throughout the story are very traumatic. But through the horror, this book will appeal to a large audience of people who favor the science fiction
