Humorous Wedding Day

I woke up on a oddly warm October morning and didn’t quite realize what day it was. As soon as I regained my bearings the significance of the day hit me. It was my wedding day! This was one of the most important days of my life. Everything had to be perfect, nothing could go wrong. I left my apartment and was heading to my mother’s house when I came across a black cat crossing the street. I’m usually not the one to believe in superstitions, but what girl couldn’t help but think of it on such an important day. I took a deep breath and felt the warm air fill my lungs, a breath of reassurance. As soon as I walk in the house I hear the shrieking sound of a tea kettle boiling over the stove. “Oh, Rory how are you? Give me a hug,” my mom squealed in my ear as she pulled me in for a hug. She knew I didn’t like hugs but that is exactly why she did it. Ever since I was a child she loved to annoy me and push my buttons.
Ma’ always seemed to be in a hurry when you talked to her. She always said “talking fast gets you to the places you’re going”.
