You are very kindness and warm for us and you made us comfortable. We think we meet the best host family of hosts of our group Joey is humorous, so we could laugh a lot. Thank you.…
I’d like to thank the Franco-Haitian Youth Federation Delegates and Dr. David McKenzie for choosing me to represent you for the next four years. I am very humbled that you would place your faith and trust in me. Let me tell you that it is not just my sole effort that has brought me here. I would like to make a special mention of a church called Hebron Seventh Day Adventist Church. They have been my support system for 22 years. They have seen the passion in me when I couldn’t see it myself. They saw my talent and honed it such that I am now standing here and talking to you all of about it. Everyone needs a great support system, and I am lucky to have found mine. Thank you for making me who I am today. This is a…
The story of the Essex’s begins in an innkeeper's house. This is where the great journey will start and then end it. In one night the story of Moby Dick will be told, from the great adventures, to its turmoils, to the never ending pain but in the end truth will rings out.…
Ten years ago I joined the best supportive family anyone could ever ask for. When I came to Thurgood Marshall I was a shy little girl in her shell trying to find herself. I had low self`esteem and was always worried about what others had thought about me. Being in TMA and growing up with this family has helped me mentally and emotionally especially with the passing of my uncle which was a tough thing for me to get over.…
Yes, all rumors are true. He is only a son of a ship captain who had moved his family to Honolulu in 1837. It was not a typical marriage, but it worked out very well.…
Wedding speeches are often extraordinarily tough to organize which is very the case with the maid of honor speech. What ought to a maid of honor speech say? ought to it's emotional? ought to it contain funny stories? Well the issue to recollect is that this can be a wedding!…
When Dave asked me to be his best man, I told him it would be an honor but I thought he might be better off with someone else…
The most memorable day of your life is coming up. Soon all the wedding planning chaos will be forgotten as you walk down the aisle to utter those two words.”I do”. Until then, you have become the center of the endless ideas from your friends, family, and your future in-laws. They envision more old fashion items, ones manufactured and sold at all the big-named stores. But you desire something better; something more personal and intimate that people will remember years to come.…
My ancestors came in my country of America in chains. Take a look at me now. One more look. Once again perhaps. I see Barack almost everyday, praying as a Muslim in the Oval Office and around the Beautiful House. Also, all the years we have knowing each other, he has been praying as a Christian as I am. I could not be more proud to say, if any Muslim or Christian leader in our wonderful nation, the United States of America, or around the world can run his or her country like he has been running for almost a decade, we will all be living with the Angels in heaven on Earth. But it wasn't easy, look at his gray hair. What we inherited first day we walked in until tonight, it sure wasn't easy. Forget about the odds that were against us, excluding for Oprah. Godly souls always have been showing themselves among their own kind in a gathering dropping…
A few months ago, thanks to the vivacious Tammy Gillis, the accomplished actor Jim Thorburn was brought to my attention (they are married, in case you were unaware). While his name was somewhat unknown to me, his talent and works included some of my classic and current favorites. As I have been faithfully following his career all this time now, I was ecstatic to promote his upcoming film, Engaging Father Christmas, and he was kind enough to chat with me briefly about his role in this upcoming film as well as a few other notweworthy details. RH: So nice to get to chat with you again.…
What's more, in this day and age when the divorce rate is around 50%, and when so many people seem to be out for themselves first -- or themselves alone -- mom and dad continue to serve as the greatest, sweetest example of what love and respect and This is really a beautiful occasion -- the 50th wedding anniversary, the GOLDEN anniversary -- of our parents, Warren and Ann-Marie Rodriguez. On behalf of my brothers, I'll say this: We three have sure been lucky to have those two as our parents. We always felt that way.…
I am Ales Hero! I know that I am the strongest and attractive man here. With a few years behind me, I have become wise and handsome. In public I must painstakingly compose myself in the certain manner that we are required to do so. Tonight is a different story! I shall show everyone who I truly am! I am a warrior, a lover, and a leader! Tonight, I will show every man and woman in this room who the real hero is, and that is Ales Hero!…
When I first began oral communications, the speech I was most excited to give was the interview speech. This is because I knew exactly who I wanted to do and that it would be interesting to get to ask him about his life. In my last speech, I had some struggles and didn’t perform in a way that I strive for. This motivated me to practice my skills more and get better. Just this past week I decided I would give the sport of wrestling a shot. In the past, I have participated in basketball. Since I’m one of the shorter kids in my class I thought I should give up this sport and try something new. Into my first week of wrestling I picked up a quote that’s left a deep affect on me. Coach Allen told us a quote by Winston Churchill that says, “Failure isn’t fatal, and success isn’t final.” This quote says a lot about my personal experience and interview…
I hope you and Stan had an uneventful drive home. Russ arrived back safely, yesterday afternoon.…
Yesterday was a rollercoaster of a day...well, this year has been a rollercoaster itself anyway! I want to write this for myself...to remind me that the glory belongs to God and to Him only. None of it would've been possible without Him. I am not that special but He saw me and believed in me. Yesterday, finally, I got my degree as a Doctor...A DOCTOR!!!!!! :)...what a huge, incredible word; It has been a wondrous road since I came to this country 14 years ago: So much has happen along the way! I remember I didn't speak English, I didn't know the culture, nobody in my family had ever graduated from college, we grew up so poor, hope was scarce in many areas and on top of that my family didn't even believed or taught me about love, at the end I decided to come following my heart and the man I thought it was the one. It is truth that heartbreak came but blessings came too: I got my baby girl and kept going day by day learning, studying, raising her, loving her and Him. I had to go through some discrimination, some hate, some isolation, even a miscarriage but guess what? with Him I survived because He sent many more blessings including a sweet man and a beautiful baby boy...speaking of underserved…
