Humorous Wedding Speech: My Father, My Daughter
Introduction speech
On September 30, 1993, a miracle that was unexpected happened. I’m going to tell you about an amazing and wonderful person; me!! I’ve known this person my entire life. Many people can consider me many things. Today I’ll tell you about my daughter, Vanessa, my family, and some of my hobbies. Now let me tell you about my daughter.
My daughter Vanessa Rose was born on May 13, 2005, she weighed 7 pounds, she was 20 inches long, and born at 6:15 in the morning. She is now 2 ½ years old. I got her first name Vanessa from the little mermaid from the evil girl that took Ariel’s voice away from her and tried to steal her prince. I got her middle name Rose from the flower. It’s my favorite flower and it fit with her first name. Vanessa and I have a really close bond. We enjoy playing on her little computer, playing blocks, teaching her colors, teaching her the alphabet, and her numbers and shapes. She’s very active and loves to help clean, read books, color, and dance. There’s never a day that she sits still. My plans for Vanessa are simple, I want her to make the best out of her life, make mistakes in order to learn from them, go to school , graduate, get a career, get married, have kids, and die of a natural cause at a very old age. Now here’s a little bit about my family.

I like to watch TV and movies with my family and my boyfriend. On the computer I go on Facebook and MySpace everyday. I listen to all different types of music. What I listen to depends on the mood that I’m in. My favorite TV show is Family Guy because they’re really funny and my favorite characters are Stewie and Brian. My favorite movie is The Titanic because it’s really sad but romantic at the same time. It also shows that the worst of times can be changed into the best times of your

    Why the North Won

The Union certainly had considerable advantages. There were 22 million people in the North compared with only 9 million in the South (of whom only 5.5 million were whites). The North had a much greater industrial capacity. In 1860 Northern states produced 97 per cent of the USA’s firearms and 94 per cent of its pig iron. Even in agriculture the North enjoyed an edge. The Confederacy hoped to make good its lack of materials by trading with Europe, but the Union used its naval strength to impose an increasingly tight blockade. The Union was further aided by the fact that four slave states – Delaware, Missouri, Maryland and Kentucky – remained loyal to the Union. Nor were all the people within the 11 Confederate states committed to the Confederate cause. Pockets of Unionism existed, especially in the Appalachian Mountains. Slaves were also a potential fifth column. Throughout the war there was a steady flow of blacks fleeing to Union armies. The North converted first their labour and eventually their military manpower into a Union asset.…

I am contacting you to inform you of some issues that have I have been concerned with when it comes to Kami and her performance on the JV cheer team. First and foremost, I just want to let you know that it has been a pleasure working with Kami on our team. Kami brings a very energetic and infectious vibe to our team. She has grown tremendously as an individual and as an athlete. However, lately, it is that same energetic and infectious behavior that has become a distraction for the team, especially during our practices. Today, Kami and her team had to run three laps because she was laughing and talking during stunts. As you know as a longtime cheer parent, stunting is a time that has to be taken seriously, otherwise there is the potential for…

I was born at 11:55 am on a Saturday in the Kern Medical Center on February 7, 2003. My mom and grandma were arguing about what my name was gonna be. My grandma said Mercedes (gosh what a horrible name), but my mom said, Breanna. They agreed but my grandma said Mercedes had to be in there somewhere, but my mom thought that was an ugly name ( which I agree with). I don’t know the rest after that but then that’s how I became Breanna Sadie Reyes. 6 months later I said my first word and it was Poppa. My mom wasn’t sure if I was trying to say Grandpa or Papas (potatoes), I guess will never know. Thursday, February 7, 2004, was my first birthday and I was obsessed with Winnie the Pooh, so obsessed that I took a picture of Winnie the Pooh holding a 1 in his hand and I was so happy.…

October 15, 2001 a little baby girl was born, she was named Kaitlyn Jean Feldman. She had an older sister by two years named Melyssa Anne Feldman. She was a happy baby and toddler. Every summer until she was ten she got to go camping a few times. When she was four years old she went to Disney World she was too small to ride any rides so she focused on getting autographs from the characters. Even though Kaitlyn doesn't remember much of the trip she knows it was fun. From pre-k to third grade she had been to a handful of schools. Her favorite by far was Carbon Valley Academy. She was there in first grade, part of second and all of third. Everything was good for awhile in fact it was great. In third grade she had joined Odyssey of the Mind. She…

I have left for extended periods for professional or academic ventures in the past but Vanessa and I both are deeply rooted in my parent’s home. Between December of 2008 and July of 2009 Vanessa lost a grandmother, two great grandmothers and a great grandfather. She was blessed with seven years of her life in which she was able to get to know the generation of people that she had come from. In 2005 her father moved in with his elderly mother and grandmother after his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer; shortly thereafter my maternal grandfather began to rapidly deteriorate, physically and mentally, at which time he moved in with us. Vanessa gained a great respect for the elderly as well as life experiences and knowledge one can only gain by exposure to older generations; however, these blessings came with lessons in illness and death and the real life challenge of coping with the sadness of end of life deterioration and the loss of loved ones. Vanessa understood that death was the inevitable end to life in the flesh, but she also understood that her loved ones were starting a new life in heaven. Instead of displaying exclusively classic signs of grief that would normally be seen in a child her age under the circumstances, she approached coping with a bitter sweet perspective that…

When I first began oral communications, the speech I was most excited to give was the interview speech. This is because I knew exactly who I wanted to do and that it would be interesting to get to ask him about his life. In my last speech, I had some struggles and didn’t perform in a way that I strive for. This motivated me to practice my skills more and get better. Just this past week I decided I would give the sport of wrestling a shot. In the past, I have participated in basketball. Since I’m one of the shorter kids in my class I thought I should give up this sport and try something new. Into my first week of wrestling I picked up a quote that’s left a deep affect on me. Coach Allen told us a quote by Winston Churchill that says, “Failure isn’t fatal, and success isn’t final.” This quote says a lot about my personal experience and interview…

It was a cool and peaceful Tuesday in June, 1998 when I was born. I was born June 16, 1998 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD to an amazing and loving family. My dad Jeff worked the night shift at the Police Department and got home around 7 A.M. My mom Melissa had been up several times that night feeling well with minor contractions. So my parents decided to go to the hospital at around 8:30 A.M. I was a very quick and easy birth with no complications. I was born at 2:46 weighing 5lbs 11oz and 18 and a half inches tall. For the longest time I had no hair but I had the cutest brown eyes, according to my mom, Melissa. Because I was the first born baby and since I was a boy my Mom and Dad picked my name Ryan Michael Beck from…

When I graduated from high school, I met a girl who would soon become the mother of my child. My daughter, Samiya Jordan, was born June of 2006. She is the most precious gift I’ve ever had. When she was only a year old, she was involved in a car accident that claimed the life of my soon to be wife, D’Juna Thomas. D’Juna was a very good friend of mine and also the love of my life. She was only 18 years of age when she passed away. I gain my strength to move on push forward by none other than the almighty King of kings. I continued to seek peace in my heart by attending church regularly, and helping out when needed. My family was a big support system in my life at that time, and the fact that my daughter was so strong to survive such a tragedy gave me the strength and motivation I needed to work hard, keep striving, and to never give up. This is my life in a quick summary, but for you to get to know me by reading up on me, it would take way more pages.…
