Simple plot of The Hunger Games- Capitol uses the "Hunger Games" in order to enforce their control over the twelve districts. The districts are exhausted by constant violence and rebel against the Capitol.

As we already know, the Capitol was controlling the districts by violent “Hunger Games”. Suzanne Collins demonstrates that the violence is not a very good way to control somebody, by leading the story into war. In Foundation, Terminus needs some sort of way to control the surrounding planets, which is not violence- since the main idea of the book is the peaceful resolve of conflicts. The mayor of the planet finds a way- a symbiosis with the surrounding planets. He trades the technology for resources in order to maintain peace. More than that, he establishes a new religion making folk believe that the nuclear machines they sell to the barbaric planets work on “Holy Spirit of Space” and the people living on his planet are holy so that Terminus wouldn't be attacked as it is
