Hunting Elk Persuasive Essay
It’s good when I get to go hunting. I enjoy hunting with my sister and my dad, I think it's fun to sneak up and shoot deer. Hunting Elk is even better because it offers more of a challenge. It can get pretty exciting when you hear them breaking branches as there coming through the timber when calling them. Hunting also provides organic meat. Not all people like hunting, they think it's animal cruelty and that it's not right to kill animals. Some people say that it is environmentally bad and that nature will take care of the animal population.
I think that hunting is fun because One can spend time with family, and the excitement when shooting a deer. One also can get to know the area that they're in more, so if they get lost they can identify where there at. Not everyone thinks that hunting is fun. Some say that the deer are maimed and slaughtered. I personally think that the deer aren't slaughtered, unless you shoot all of their legs off or something inhumane like that. Maim is to injure a part of the body so that it is permanently damaged. People won't just shoot deer in the shoulder and drive off.

Hunting them is a lot different because of the challenges. They are three times as big and can give 200 pounds of meat. It takes way more energy to hunt Elk because all of the walking you have to do, and the planning, and what time you get up. Some say that hunting is a Barbaric to hunt and that one could just go to the store and by meat. I think the way that animals are treated for used for store-bought meat worst than hunting. Like chickens, they are crammed into small cages that don't allow them to spread their wings. The male chicks are unwanted so there are treated like trash, thrown in trash bags to be

Personally, I think that the morality of hunting depends on the situation. If the hunter is strictly doing his job of providing food for his family and community, then that is fine. However, if they are doing it for the thrill and for pleasure and they aren't even going to eat what they kill, then these people need to take a moment to step back and realize that what they are doing is in no way right and they are the people giving genuine hunters a poor…

I understand why some people are against hunting, I mean when you only know part of the story all you hear is killing an innocent animal. And some people only see the stereotype a think it’s just a bunch of banjo stringing rednecks going Rambo on Bambi's mom. But there are several laws and regulations keeping all hunting safe and even necessary to keep species size under control. I have hunted all my life, and I've learned most of my life lessons sitting on the cold ground with a 30.6 in my hands waiting for an elk to pass by. So hunting is a part of me, my family doesn’t hunt to just kill an animal, every piece of meat we eat is either a cow from our pasture or elk we killed during hunting season. That is the meat we eat all year, so even though I know why we hunt and why it’s not bad I understand why some people think it might be barbaric. I'm also not saying that some people don't disrespect the right to hunt and kill anything they see, just like anti-hunters think.…

    The Great Outdoors

Not only is hunting an exhilarating experience but so is the feeling of being surrounded by wilderness. During winter times since I was 12 years old, my father would take me out on long drives in the middle of winter to hunting sites just outside of Edmonton. What made the drive not seem so long was the scenic route we would always take. Every once in a while I would see little white rabbits hopping around and leaving miniature footprints all in the snow next to the road. Further down the road we would pass a fairly big hill that had two pine trees at the top of it. I always wondered how long they had been there considering the fact that they were over thirty feet high. Finally we would get to the hunting ground and make are way down to a little patch of brush where we would crouch and wait for the deer to pass by. The feeling of the cold snow crunching under my boots, the frost covered branches of the bush we were nestled under, and all the little footprints that surrounded us gave me a feeling of unity with nature. After hiding in our spots for a long while, usually until my feet and toes were completely frozen it seemed, my father would whisper “Here comes one right now”. A few moments later I’d hear a loud bang and we’d be back on the road with our trophy and bragging rights. We have carried on this tradition every…

    Why Hunting Is Not Murder

I explain that as a hunter I love animals and that is why I hunt. It is tough to convince someone when their mind is already made up, but I like to try. I hunt for many reasons. Some of which are for adventure, the feel of satisfaction of a job well done, the sense of being closer to nature and yes, for the kill. I explain that I hunt for the joy of the hunt. Also, that thousands of years ago hunters told their stories and honored their animals with pictographs. I don’t know if people often use pictographs anymore, but we do the same thing in a different way. Rather than painting on walls, we now mount animals on walls. Like our ancestors, we share the meat with our families and friends. I also know of people who take meat from animals they have hunted and donate it to people in need. Hunting is not something I do to just pass time. Hunting is a way of life for me, and I am just grateful that I am able to enjoy it. Take a look at my reasoning of why I believe hunting can not be considered murder, do you think hunting is…

Growing up in the Piney Woods of East Texas finding a place to hunt was never a problem. I remember getting up on cold fall mornings with my grandpa going out to the woods, and just sitting, listening, and waiting for the forest to come to life. My dad and grandpa first started taking me hunting when I was around 5 years old, so you could say that I was exposed to hunting at a young age. Hunting has always been a way that the men in my family have bonded, although all of the women in my family love the outdoors none of them were ever very eager to hunt. Another thing about living in the Piney Woods, as hunting may be seen as an expensive sport in other parts of the world and the country, as long as you had a gun and a hunting license, it was not hard to find a place to hunt.…
