I have been the student director in the two plays we have done at our High School this year and it has been one of the most challenging but gratifying experiences for me. It has led led me to find good leadership qualities and character traits, that I myself didn’t even know I had. It has also helped me narrow down what I would like my future to involve.
Although I spend most of my time with school and work, I do love helping out in the community and volunteering to help make others smile. I have completed over 40 hours of volunteer work for NHS but I don’t look at it as work, I see how many people I help when volunteering and it makes me want to do more and try to help as many people as I can. Maybe that is why I want to be a teacher. To help kids who are struggling both academically and personally.
Needless to say, I would be honored to receive the Huston Family Scholarship due to my hard work and leadership qualities. I believe I would be a good recipient because I am very motivated to carry out my senior year of High School strong and to go into college even stronger. I hope to be considered for the Huston Family
