In 1945, France controlled Vietnam. However, the communists in Vietnam wanted control, so they fought the French. In 1954, the Geneva agreement ended the fighting and declared Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam independent countries. The agreement also split Vietnam into two countries; communists governed North Vietnam and South Vietnam became a democratic country. North Vietnam reneged and the communists tried to take over South Vietnam, so the American military fought the communists in a battle that became known as the Vietnam War (Barr, 2005). The Hmong in Laos experienced tragic, long-term consequences for their wartime allegiance with the United States by secretly fighting in the Vietnam War.…
It perfectly invokes what it felt like to travel down the Mississippi as a 13 or 14 year old boy. It relates a lot to how many kids would explore outside all day every day when they were little. Kids would explored the woods and the land around their house, which is a lot like Huck does. Huck is really relatable in the sense of outdoorsman savviness. It’s easy to feel bad for Huck too. He never had much in the way of parenting, and everything he does have he got from somebody else. He has stolen all sorts of things on his journey that he, but does not know what earning his own belongings all is about. He is almost like a small puppy just wandering throughout…
The United States strategy in Vietnam from 1965 to 1968 went through various changes and revisions as leadership tried to find a feasible plan of action. US Army General William Westmoreland and Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara were two of the major forces in US leadership that would shape the war effort. They devised a military strategy of attrition through tactics of search and destroy, covert operations, and other factors in hopes of wearing out the enemy. While their strategy found some success on the battlefields, the ineffectiveness of search and destroy missions, the over emphasis on body counts, and the disconnect between everyday soldiers and their superiors about defining success would doom the US war effort.…
Although both Glen Inghram and Veronica Majerol write bold arguments, in the end it is Majerol’s article that proves the point more effectively.…

Time Travel, we have thought about it for decades. What if you could go anywhere you want whenever you want either to the future or the past where would you go. Personally, I would choose to go to four Revolutionary battles and the places where they occurred, I would also like to see some of the important people in the war, especially George Washington. Even to see the reasons why the war started.…
First off, trip to Vietnam was truly a blessing. I did not expect so much of the trip until the first day I arrived Vietnam. On my first day, I got an opportunity to meet many great people who were selfless; those who cared more about others rather than themselves. It took approximately 14hours in total to arrive at hotel. Even though the plane ride was only about 5hours, since it was a group trip, it took extra time to ensure everyone is in right place. Despite the exhaustion and drowsiness, no one complained but encouraged others. I was already touched by grace of God before we even began our mission trip. On the second day, I volunteered for the medical service. There were two activities including the medical service, and house painting…
