Hypocrisy is when somebody claims to live by certain morals and standards, or they teach these beliefs, but their own behavior does not uphold what they preach. Often a hypocrite will look down on other people or accuse them of things that they themselves are doing. We all can be hypocritical at times, but certain people and characters in To Kill a Mockingbird exemplify this negative trait.
