Not a single day of her teenage years were spent relaxing on a couch in some piravigal ares. Malala was praying and speaking at tons and tons of places with little to no money. All she did for Swat made her a hero. Nelson Mandela was extremely similar. Nelson Mandela was jailed for 27 years for peacefully standing up for his rights. Malala was shot directly in the head and point blank for standing up for basic education. Both Mandela and Malala never laid a finger on another person in a violent manner. All Malala wants is a new age where girls have the right of education. In the book ‘I am Malala’ it states, “Today we all know education is our basic right. Not just in the West; Islam too has given us this right. Islam says every girl and every boy should go to school. In the Quran it is written, God wants us to have knowledge. He wants us to know why the sky is blue and about oceans and stars.” This quotation from the book is proof of Malala’s love for education.
