I Am Not Your Negro, By James Baldwin
In the 2017 documentary “I am not your negro” based on an unfinished book that was being written by James Baldwin he follows the life of three historically famous men and their roles in the Civil Rights movement. The men who the movie was based on are Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X and Medgar Evens. The men that the documentary follow are Malcom X, Medger Evens and Martin Luther King Jr. The documentary is an extremely wonderous work that highlights each man and the impact they had on the world at the time. The documentary opens to a story about a young girl named Dorthey. As Dorthey is headed to an all-white school she is being spit on by a crowd of on looks who are yelling and screaming at her as she makes her way into the school.
