6. CONCLUSION
The operational aspects of power systems pose some of the most challenging problems encountered in the restructuring of the electric power industry. In this report we looked at one such problem. This work focuses on congestion management in day-ahead and hour-ahead markets in a deregulated electricity market scenario. The Preventive and Corrective approach is used in day-ahead and hour-ahead markets respectively to create a mechanism that enables the market players to compete, trade and simultaneously ensures that the system operation stays within security constraints.
This paper work has significantly accomplished many attainments in the area under discussion which is rescheduling the generations of Schedule Coordinators which are adjusted from the preferred schedules to relieve congestion.
The various achievements can be summarized as follows:
➢ To relieve congestion, Preventive and Corrective approach provides the preferred schedules of generations of the corresponding scheduling coordinators, so that no system constraints violates.
➢ Calculates the optimum generation pattern as well as all control variables in order
