INCOME06: General Social Survey

For my report, the levels of measurement for my variables of INCOME06, HAPPY, and HAPMAR were all are ordinal, in that the attributes could be arranged in order. The measure of central tendency for INCOME06, HAPPY, and HAPMAR would be mode and median, in that the most frequent observation would be the most helpful as well as the middle value in the ranked distribution. The association between INCOME06 and HAPPY, is that the higher the income of the individual, the higher the general happiness of the individual is, and there is a strong positive association. The lowest percentage of “Very Happy” individuals, as well as the highest percentage of “Not too Happy’ individuals can be seen in the individuals with the lowest incomes. As the income increases, the individual indicating that they are “Very Happy” increases, whereas the individuals indicating that they are “Not too Happy” decreases.
The strength and direction of the association between these variables a strong positive association. According to the data from the General Social Survey, money (INCOME06) matters for happiness (HAPPY) and love (HAPMAR). Additionally, the total family income (INCOME06) matters more for the General Happiness (HAPPY) measure than it does for the Happy Marriage (HAPMAR)
