ISFJ Personality Types
ISFJ Personality types make up between 13% and 14% of the population. They are disproportionately female – 19% of females compared to 8% of males. ISFJs are Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging. They are often called Protectors and Defenders, though perhaps a better title would be Helper since this personality type finds the most satisfaction when able to help other people. This personality type is Introverted but has great people skills, is approachable, adept at reading emotions, and connects with others people very well. The Sensing preference of this personality type is well expressed in how practical and grounded ISFJs tend to be. While they have a good imagination, that imagination is very practical. While they like to help, often it is in the most practical way possible. The Feeling preference of ISFJs means they do not like confrontation and seek harmony and cooperation among their teams and peers. When communicating, ISFJs are tactful, kind, and observant. They are also generally very good listeners. Finally ISFJ's Judging preference is well expressed in their meticulous and efficient work, preference for structure and procedure, and desire for work that is well-defined and organized.

At work ISFJs are diligent, loyal, reliable, trustworthy, and

They are often accurately called Debaters or Visionaries as this personality type is extremely adept at the art of debate as well as tend to be excellent idea people. ENTPs are smart, quick-witted, and love to learn and improve. They make great leaders and tend to be the big-idea people that can inspire others. ENTPs are able to connect ideas that other people would not. Sometimes their argumentative nature comes across as insensitive, though most ENTPs do not mind if they are viewed that

After taking the Myers-Briggs personality type test, I received the ISFJ personality type: Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging. While reading the description for ISFJ, I could agree with what it was saying almost one hundred percent. The description stated that ISFJs by their desire to serve others and obtain the “need to be needed.” I found that this description fits me very well: I often feel the need to serve and be needed by others. I enjoy helping out in ministry, at home, and within other homes. For example, this past Thursday my boyfriend came home from his working training in Los Angeles, CA and he stated that he needed me to help him pack before he left to travel the states for work. While doing some of his laundry and packing his luggage, I found joy in serving him in this way.…

The Briggs Myers four personality trait dimensions are one way to categorize the personality types of different people. According to Briggs and Myers, there are four categories in which your personality type is determined. Each category has two options: Introversion versus extraversion, sensing versus intuition, thinking versus feeling, and judging versus perceiving. First I will focus on the “introvert versus extrovert” category. An introverted person is typically more focused on their inner world and they prefer focusing in depth on specific interests. Writing tends to be the preferred method of communication for an introvert. They may also be more private and enjoy reflecting on ideas. An extrovert, on the other hand, is more attuned to…

In the Myers-Briggs Type indicator/Jung’s Typology Test results I scored ENFJ, which stands for extrovert, intuitive, feeler, and judger. These results seem extremely accurate to me. I do enjoy spending time with people, talking to them, and trying my best to understand them. People fascinate me yet I find it difficult to open up to the people around me, which is a common characteristic among ENFJ’s. Being intuitive, I tend to look at the big picture rather than detail. I rely on my gut rather than my conscious. As a feeler, the decisions I make tie in with the values I grew up learning, leading with my heart and naturally gravitate towards people. Lastly, as a judger, I am super organized! Having a preference towards planned and settled activities.…

In George H. Jenson and John K. DiTiberio 's article titled, “Personality and Individual Writing Process” they compare someones personality to that of their writing process. Through this examination, Jenson and DiTiberio, come to realize that while teaching the writing process, teachers, professors or whom ever is instructing this process should take into consideration the individuals personality types. Determining the students personality can help prevent things like writers block when it comes to writing a paper or article. Once the individuals personality type is determined then steps can be made to individualize writing instruction.…

According to the Myers-Briggs personality test I am an ENFP. Reading the description I thought it was very accurate. It is said ENFP are warmly enthusiastic and imaginative. Which is true because I’m always interested to try new things I rarely shot down an idea. That we see life with full of possibilities and make connections between events and information very quickly. The world isn’t as simple as black and white that there are fifty shades of gray and I am quick to accept it all. Ready to give support and appreciation along with spontaneous and flexible who tends to reply on their ability to improvise and their verbal fluency. I am quick to support everyone and improvising is a talent of mine. The four traits I find them pretty accurate.…

It is Maurice Wilkins’ personality that drives his optimistic views that if it weren’t for conflicts with his assistant Rosalind Franklin, he would be the inevitable founder of the DNA structure. By deductive reasoning while reading Watson’s DNA account, one can infer that Wilkins has the MBTI-personality type ‘INFP’. The MBTI, or Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality test determines a person’s “preferred ways to attending to the world and making decisions” (results sheet from MBTI instrument). In this particular case, Wilkins showed introversion, intuition, feeling, and perceiving. This personality type combination is often known for being imaginative, independent, and more interested in possibilities than practicalities, partially explaining why Wilkins was convinced that he was right in being awarded a portion of the Nobel Prize.…

My personality type can be described as an imaginative visionary with strong values and driven by spiritual wellness. When I encounter new people, I am reserved and very private at first but will turn very spontaneous and personal once I’m comfortable. I’m sincerely interested in understanding and pleasing people, especially those who I have similar ideals with. Not surprisingly, my type is sensitive to conflict and criticism and will go out my way to avoid them. My type has an affinity for possibilities and focus on reforming the future; to me the present is only a temporary concern. Most of my energy is spent dreaming about improving the world for people and finding truth and purpose in life, influenced by my individual attitude. I’m motivated by inspiration from visions and ideas that I feel are important and genuine. As an INFP, I appreciate innovation and originality in my work and total creative control in my projects. I prefer not to use impersonal logic so much and prefer to focus more on something personal like music or art. My personality type has very high standards and seems to only be happy when it feels it’s making a difference and is…
