Description
To help organizations achieve faster results, IBM has packaged the knowledge from years of experience with information projects in industries into Telecommunications Data Warehouse and Health Plan Data Models. These data models deliver industry expertise and regulatory best practices in a form usable by both business and IT, enabling IT to implement projects more quickly. The result can be faster time-tovalue, fulfilled expectations, and reduced project risk. These data models include interrelated business glossaries, enterprise data warehouse, and reporting requirement models. The data models can be leveraged with InfoSphere® Information Server, InfoSphere Warehouse, and InfoSphere Master Data Management Server to help you address your business needs. Key components of the models: • • Business terms: An enterprise-wide vocabulary of business concepts that provides an organization a view of itself and its industry. Business data model: A conceptual-level data model that specifies the third normal form data structures required to represent the concepts defined in business terms. Atomic warehouse model: A design-level data model that represents the enterprise-wide repository of atomic data used for informational processing. Dimensional warehouse model: An enterprise-wide repository for analytical data. Architectural elements of the models: • Data models: These models define database structures necessary to provide management with analytical reports that contain key performance indicators for the business and deliver necessary prebuilt statutory and regulatory reporting templates. The data models also provide a glossary of terms and concepts that can be clearly understood and communicated by business and IT, thereby helping you accelerate project scoping, appropriate reports, data quality and requirements, and identification of data sources. Charge metrics definitions Resource Value Unit (RVU) RVU is the unit of measure by which this program is licensed. RVU entitlements are based on the quantity of a specific designated measurement for the given program. A Proof of Entitlement (PoE) must be obtained for the appropriate number of RVUs required for your environment as defined by the specific program terms. The RVU entitlements are specific to the program and may include, but are not limited to the following: Client Devices, data source records, messages, and servers, and may not be exchanged, interchanged, or aggregated with RVU entitlements of another program. To understand these benefits of RVU licensing, and to determine how many RVUs to obtain for the program, contact your IBM representative. RVU table for Health Plan Data Model The resource for the purpose of RVU calculation is five hundred million U.S. dollars of premium income. Licensee's premium income is the total premium income during Licensee's last fiscal year rounded up to the next multiple of five hundred million U.S. Dollars, as evidenced by its publicly issued annual report or, if there is no publicly issued annual report, its report to stockholders or equivalent documentation. For the purpose of this calculation, income not denominated in U.S. dollars is converted to U.S. dollars using the previous day's interbank rate as of the date of license acquisition or, for successive years, the Subscription and Support anniversary date. Licensee has the option of covering the premium income for the entire enterprise or the premium income associated with projects within the enterprise. A project is a deployment of the program in the Licensee's enterprise. The RVU requirements for each project are calculated separately, each starting at the first line of the RVU table.

Charge metrics definitions Resource Value Unit (RVU) RVU is the unit of measure by which this program is licensed. RVU entitlements are based on the quantity of a specific designated measurement for the given program. A Proof of Entitlement (PoE) must be obtained for the appropriate number of RVUs required for your environment as defined by the specific program terms. The RVU entitlements are specific to the program and may include, but are not limited to the following: Client Devices, data source records, messages, and servers, and may not be exchanged, interchanged, or aggregated with RVU entitlements of another program. To understand these benefits of RVU licensing, and to determine how many RVUs to obtain for the program, contact your IBM representative. RVU table for Health Plan Data Model The resource for the purpose of RVU calculation is five hundred million U.S. dollars of premium income. Licensee's premium income is the total premium income during Licensee's last fiscal year rounded up to the next multiple of five hundred million U.S. Dollars, as evidenced by its publicly issued annual report or, if there is no publicly issued annual report, its report to stockholders or equivalent documentation. For the purpose of this calculation, income not denominated in U.S. dollars is converted to U.S. dollars using the previous day's interbank rate as of the date of license acquisition or, for successive years, the Subscription and Support anniversary date.
