Characters
• Ichabod Crane
- He was a native Connecticut, a Playmate and companion of big boys in Sleepy Hollow. He was also a schoolmaster and choirmaster in his place
• Katrina Van Tassel
- He was the only child of substantial Dutch farmer.
• Baltus Van Tassel
- She was the father of Katrina Van Tassel, a contented and liberal-hearted farmer.
• Brum Van Brunt
- He was considered as the hero of the country round, his nickname was Brum Bones. Bones was famous for his skills in horsemanship.

Great paln in deed but unfortunately Katrina Van Tassels had many suitors and of them was Brum Van Brunt. He was the most formidable rival of Ichabod. The times comes that there was a party at the mansion of Baltus Van Tassels, Ichabon and Brum were invited of course. Ichabon really prepared for that night.
• Climax
At the party, he didn’t expect that he will be rejected by Katrina at that very moment he decided to went home as he felt the discomfort. He rode his horse and headed on his way back. Upon reaching the Tapan Zee, he heard the barkings of the dog. He suddenly remembered the ghost in the country folks story and he will be passing to the most horrifying place wherein the ghost often showed himself. Ichabon saw something that really made his hair rose. A shadow of Headless Horseback appeared.
• Falling Action
He tried hard to escape from the Headless Horse back. He felt relieved when he already cross the bridge, because it is said that once you’ve passed at the bridge, it will not follow you anymore. But not in his situation. The Headless Horseback followed him wherever he goes.
• Ending
After that incident nothing was heard about him. No one knows where he go or what he do. He suddenly disappeared and vanished after that

    As described in the story, Ichabod Crane is a school teacher who travels to Sleepy Hollow to teach the children of the area. This, in company with his ability to ingratiate himself, persuades many of the townspeople to successively lodge him at their homes for a week at a time, which serves as his sole source of shelter. He follows strict morals in the schoolroom, including the proverbial "Spare the rod and spoil the child"; outside the schoolroom, he is shown to have few morals and no motive but his own gratification. Despite being thin, he is capable of eating astonishingly large amounts of food and is constantly seeking to do so. In addition to this, he is excessively superstitious, often to the extent of believing every myth, legend, tall tale, etc. to be literally true. As a result, he is perpetually frightened by anything that reminds him of ghosts or demons.…
