ICT House Style
The company I have chosen is Denbighshire county council. I have received a letter from them and I have collected leaflets as well as looking on their website to adopt their house style. The house style of the Denbighshire documents would be that they all have the same colours on them, the colours being green, blue and white. These have been the colours of the company since the beginning of the council when it first came around in 1996. The design may have changed slightly over the years, but the colours have always remained the same. Blue being the sea part of the county, the green as the county is full of nature and places to go walking in the hills, and a white castle, to signify that there are also historic landmarks available for viewing here as well. Another thing that they do on their documents is to place the logo in the top left corner. It has been done on the website, in the handouts and also on the letter. The way they refer to themselves as DCC as well as Denbighshire county council is also part of their house style, as it gives them leverage over people, and this is snappy and easy to remember. They are always using the same font on their documents as well as using the same writing type. They are always writing in a formal way, on the letters and on the website more than on the leaflets and handouts, as more people are using the internet now. The letters that they send out can have different tones as well, if the topic they are responding to is important the tone will be serious, however if the letter is about donating to charity through the council, then the response would be polite and sensitive.

Imagine this. You wake up one morning in the year 1929, in your luxurious, pricey mansion. You then make your way downstairs to eat that nice big breakfast. Then you kiss your family good bye and head off to your fancy job. You come home that evening and suddenly you’re flat broke. Meaning all your money and life’s savings vanished. Unreal right? Well it was real for hundreds of families on October 29, 1929. The day the stock market crashed and when America’s confidence was challenged greatly.…

The typefaces are Didot, Myriad, and Myungjo. The logo is similar to Didot. The reason I have choosen Didot is that it has thick and thin contrast, so it is in harmony with lavender illustration which is petals and stam. The floor number is Didot becuase it is in harmony with petals. A wayfinding is Myungjo typeface because Myungjo has sharped and rounded shpes of strocke just like lavender logo. The title and text of brand book is Myriad which is san serif. It is contrast from Didot.…

Homestyle Hotels Inc. is a company that formed from the uniting of Lifestyle Resorts and Home-Away Hotels. Before this uniting every hotel has their own hardware and software to keep data of their customers. Even Lifestyle Resorts and Home-Away Hotels didn’t have a centeral system to check and compare data. Hotel managers were responsible for pricing and customer information. When Ben Garrett joins Homestyle Hotels as information services director, he had a rough way to set things up. The COO Fred Gains called this situation unacceptable. Of course a national brand needs a good centeral information system. The first meetings was about current data keeping systems. They anaylzed every hotel and their softwares. It is hard to say what affects someone to become something, especially when we are living a high technology life surrounded by things that can inspire us to become someone we want to be. But I believe that we are all influenced by the environment around us, both positively and negatively. Throughout Esperanza's, Junior's, and my life there are things that have affected us to become who we are. One of the key influences for all of us is our surroundings, specifically the environment where we lived. Esperanza has been affected by her surrounding because she didn’t live in a good environment that she can be proud of her, but rather be ashamed and feel uncomfortable.…
