An Ideal Manager
Good managers are essential to any successful organisation. Reh defines a manager as a person who is in charge of monitoring and managing a group of staff members at large (Reh, 2015). They are responsible for managing and reporting to the directors any chaos or problem happening in the organization. This paper will discuss the ideal manager that I would like to work for.
A manager should have a positive behavior and attitude at all times. It is a simple theory of divide and rule (Ducoff, 2013). Moreover, a managers behavior depends on his or her team. If the team is cooperative and responsible for their work, the manager will more than like praise and reward their behavior. On the other hand, if the manager is provoked due to the team’s irresponsible behavior, serious negative consequences might follow. With the growth of the organization, it forces the manager to be more responsible. My ideal manage is a leader who works in different departments and promotes the company towards a financial growth. They should have a clear concept of the organization’s goal, knowledge of technical concepts, and be human (Ducoff, 2013). Their job is to provide leadership to motivate people to do things in a proper way. Also, they have to be well equipped with the skills to work with their employees. The manager plays a vital role in the managing of the entire organization. For managing purposes, they should have a pleasant personality and look confident. This personality is only gained if and when the manager knows all the nitty gritty facts about the organization that he or she works for. Certain skills are required for a manager to deal with the work. Skills like strategic thinking and planning; always stay on top of the organization; saving time; innovative idea; self-management; team player; should be easy going to whom employees look towards; be able to
