It is very difficult for one to simply diagnose someone of a mental illness, today I am going to cover some of the ways that the professionals use to diagnose a patient with an illness. I will also be covering the reason it is so difficult to determine normal behavior and abnormal behavior. According to the American Psychological Association, “Diagnosing mental illness isn't like diagnosing other chronic diseases” (Kirsten Weir).
