PART2答题范例:

Describe an important plant in your country. You should say: what the plant is; how you know it; why it is important; and explain how much you like this plant.

范例:
Well, there are lots of plants which are important to people in my country, such as peonies, orchids, pines and cypresses, to name a few. They are all beautiful as well as ornamental. But what I am going to say is a lot more common and practical. It is peanut. When I was little, nearly every family in my village grew peanuts. Therefore, I know exactly how a considerable number of peanuts cling closely to the roots when they are pulled out of soil. You will feel refreshed as you breathe in the soothing aroma they give out along with the smell of wet soil and grass. To tell you the truth, I’ve never heard people I know hate peanut. It is so tasty. The goodies made out of the peanuts are necessities for people who drink bears, watch TV or celebrate festivals. Besides, it is extremely useful. We Chinese consume a large amount of peanut oil. And some traditional Chinese medicines contain peanut to cure symptoms like malnutrition and coughing. Most importantly, peanuts are cheap. Anyone can afford to eat them. I myself love peanuts too. For me, they are not merely a kind of food but a symbol that represents humility and usefulness. Coz unlike nice-looking apples and cherries, which win people’s admiration with their brilliant colors, tiny little peanuts bury themselves underground and remain unearthed until they are ripe. So I would like to take after peanuts, being humble and useful, though not great or nicelooking. www.speakingsaver.com

Note:

1 观点要明确,且观点后面要有相应的解释说明,如 Besides, it is extremely useful. We Chinese consume a large amount of peanut oil. And some traditional Chinese medicines contain peanut to cure symptoms like malnutrition and coughing. Useful的原因是花生可制油,并可入药。回答时避免 流水帐式的简单罗列, 如:Peanut is tasty, useful and cheap.

Armin Greder’s ‘The Island’ is a picture book published August 2007, explores the negative aspects of belonging through alienation an outsider’s perspective of not belonging. The text uncovers an undesirable experience particularly the migrant experience. It follows a strange man entering a foreign island where he is unwelcomed and quickly judged based on his appearance. The cover of the book shows an intimating barrier around the island, which looks, dark and uninviting. This wall is a metaphor of the attitudes given off by the islanders towards the man, which are also unapproachable and unpleasant. This effect brings about the feelings of alienation experienced by the man, reflecting the negative aspects of belonging to a group or community. Throughout the text the islanders are drawn additionally threatening, as they are large, dark and armed. This is contrasted with the man’s petite frame and lack of clothing leaving him vulnerable and abnormal. Through this use of size and colour a direct link can be made between the man’s inability to belong and his distinctive appearance. This portrays to the audience how much society impacts a person’s experience of belonging or not belonging. Within the text, the islander’s attitude towards the man is prejudice and hostile. As the islanders say “I’m sure he wouldn’t like it here, so far away from his own kind”, negative connotations are revealed in the words “own kind”. This immediately tells the audience that this man is unlike the rest of society, displaying the effect of appearance on a person’s ability to assimilate into a new surrounding.…

This topic is divided into two parts: economic models and investment. First of all I want to tell you about economic models. There are a lot of economic models and each of them has advantages and disadvantages. Economic model is a theoretical construct that represents economic processes by a set of logical relationships between them. There are some most famous economical models: the American model has such good points as flexible labour and product markets, low taxes and shareholder capitalism, which puts pressure on managers to maximize profits. Also this model has bad points such as wide income inequalities, low welfare benefits, low investment and very low savings rate. The Japanese model has also best and worst features. The best ones are life-time employment encouraged high skill levels, public services of high quality, close relations between banks and other firms. The worst features are firms sheltered from the full force of the market feel little pressure to use capital efficiently. East Asian model: actually, there is no unit model, because they have, for example liberal Hong-Kong and heavy handed South Korea. But they all have openness to trade and pretty high savings. These are advantages of The East Asian model. But deepened corruption in every sphere of economy is disadvantage of this model. Excellent education, a generous welfare state and close relations between firms and banks assist high investment are good points of the German social-market model. Bad points are high taxes, product market restrictions which have led to persistently high unemployment. Once advertised the Swedish model as a “third way” between capitalism and socialism. The Swedish model has such best features as relatively open markets combined with a comprehensive welfare state and also worst, for example, rising inflation and recession increased the budget deficit, also high personal blunted incentives to work. And the last model is New…
