If I Had a Superpower
If I Had a Superpower
Admit it, all of us must have imagined, at least once, of being able to fly, to have super-strength, superhuman speed, or any kind of skill nobody else have. Whether you are an innocent little kid or a grown-up, having superpowers is always something we wish we could have. Imagine you can teleport, travel in time, communicate with people telepathically, or be invisible. Why got caught in traffic jams if we can fly? Why have hard times with your pet if you understand animal languages? Why go to hospital if you have power of instant-healing? Every day of your life will never be tedious. And who would not be astonished of seeing you having superpowers? You will be the spotlight to appear on TV whom everybody adores. Your portrait will always appear on the front of the newspapers and magazines. Who would refuse to have such a perfect life? If I could have superpowers, I will certainly choose many powers to own, including mind control, time travel, and invisibility.
Have you seen magicians control people’s mind on TV? This ability is one of those I want to have. But these magicians might not really hypnotize people; in fact, they only use some sort of complicated tricks. But the power I want to have is the real mind control. Imagine the advantages we could have with this power! For example, I can make my parents to immediately prepare for a travel around the world. I can make Baskin Robins sellers to giveaway free ice cream. I can control my brother to give me the turn to watch the TV. There are abundance of possibilities of acts we can do if we can control people’s mind. We will be able to make people change their minds in a matter of second. The world’s decisions are under my control!
Another superpower I really want to have is to be able to travel through time. I can go to the future to visit my future-self. I can see anything that will happen in the future. For example, if I see a disaster happens in the future, I will get ready on the

The term “Hypnosis” often conveys images of a strange, powerful Svengali-like character swinging a pendulum, dressed flamboyantly, getting the hypnotised subject to behave in ways they wouldn’t ordinarily behave. He is a creepy character with spirals for eyes, who exerts power and control over his subjects for his own personal gain. There is a stage full of mind-controlled individuals completely at the mercy of this character, and it is only at his will will they be released from the strange trance-like state he has put them under. We might visualise Paul McKenna or Derren Brown, modern day hypnotists, making those “victims” perform silly or embarrassing stunts on stage for the amusement of the audience. The public’s misconception that hypnotism is somehow connected to the occult has arisen due to the evil hypnotists portrayed in Hollywood movies and also watching stage hypnotists perform such acts on stage. Stage hypnosis is performed by such characters above for amusement and entertainment, hypnosis used in a therapeutic setting is purely for the benefit of the subject.…

So I got my sidekicks Addie the thorn and wonder moth, We went to see what was the matter and there was a robbery. I was ready to take my first save. Suddenly I kicked him. Addie the thorn poked him. Indeed we were all influenced by characters with superpowers, believing one day we can grow up, and one day use powers such as those of Superman or Spiderman to one day save the world. However as we mature, we eventually learn that we may not have a supernatural power, but we all have a mind of our own, where we can create opinions and thoughts and use those beliefs as superpowers of our own to influence the world as it is today, for a better tomorrow. An example of this is…

We were all once kids with those crazy ideas of becoming a superhero, or a princess in a huge castle. Our parents let us believe it, but they knew it would eventually not happen. The minds of children run free with imagination, and there is no stopping it. For example, before every shower I took, I would run around naked with a cape and scream “NAKED BOY!!!” Don’t ask me why, but the point is that my mind was all over the place. It paid off in the future because now I am really creative, and my mind is always open. Even though I didn’t achieve my dream of becoming the first naked superhero, I have the vision and strong belief to get me to where I want to be today.…
