To receive the scholarship would not only help me financially, but physically. Through the DMACC welding course, I would recieve my welding certificate to be able to weld commercially through DeeZee, Vermeer or another company of that prestige. Through the cost of the course itself and material needed, the cost of the entire class can spread through the thousands. Through the money granted, it will help me pay for the course then with that I can purchase the equipment needed outside of the course to then further my career and my path into welding. I am not one for four year universities, but one for the more tactile career paths. A career I can see the rest of life being forged with.…
As a young student approaching my future in education, I’ve begun the process of finding out who I want to be. It can be difficult to examine oneself and try to figure out what your place in the world might be. While reflecting I’ve come to the conclusion that I am an individual who is conscientious and compassionate. These traits have shaped my character, experiences, and goals throughout my entire life.. I’m confident, that if these qualities remain with me I will become a successful and contributing member of society, in spite of any challenges and uncertainties I might one day face. I consider myself an outstanding candidate for the St. Cloud Orthopedics Scholarship due to my career ambitions, my diverse experiences, and my history of…

I believe that my education is the key to anything I desire. I understand that today, education is a main factor in succeeding in the future. Many people in the United States and other countries that provide children with public education take it for granted, but I realize how truly blessed we are, and how valuable our education truly is. Scholarship is more than just passing quizzes and tests, it is applying that knowledge to our everyday lives and knowing where to apply it. It is also being determined to succeed, and if anything becomes an issue you get through it as well.…
Like everyone else I have been put the test and have gone through trials and tribulations to get to where I am today. However, many people have not experienced the same hardships as myself. Being a pioneer for my family's future of acedemic success is an exhilarating feeling. I am proud that I was able to be accepted to college in order to improve myself in and out of the classroom. Benjamin Franklin once stated, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” The opportunities that an education provides are expansive. My parents, two Mexican immigrants, raised me to appreciate the education that they themselves were not fortunate to have. My parents’ emigration from Mexico was a sacrifice that I take to heart. Becoming part of the Simon Family Foundation would provide support in the next step of my life. Also, being a Simon Scholar is an honor that would benefit not only myself but my family. I believe I am eligible of this scholarship due to the events that have made me the person I am.…
In order to so, I must persevere to be one of the best in my future class and job. A long term goal for me is to create a non-profit organization that helps those who need it the most. It could support higher education, help prevent domestic violence, animal abuse, or even help fund research for cancer. The possibilities are endless if I thrive in my education and apply what I've learned to the real world. After all, the importance of earning a college education is also to help others achieve their dreams and overcome their obstacles. If I am elected to receive this scholarship you would be giving me an opportunity to learn at one of the business schools in Texas. I can assure you that I would find a way to give back to my community like the way you help students like…

I believe I should be awarded this scholarship because I have a strive to learn and push myself. Being dyslexic and suffering from Reflex Neurovascular Dystrophy school is a challenge. I was in a serious car accident in April of 2016, my doctor told me I did not have to attend school the rest of the year. I convince my parents and doctor to come to an agreement so I could attend for two hours a day. I missed one full nine weeks of my education that I can never make up. I had to pass up a great summer job opportunity to help me pay for my college education. This scholarship would take a lot of stress off of me and I would feel like I accomplished something this summer with a severe concussion.…

Without scholarship opportunities the majority of the people attending colleges today wouldn’t be able to afford going to school. Their parents have little money and have trouble paying bills, let alone sending a child to a school worth over $100,000. They would be left without a college education working for minimum wage trying to feed themselves. Those are the people that you look at and think, “I don’t want to be like that.”…
Hello friends. I deserve this scholarship because I own the paramount educational values that will guide me throughout my educational journey. I have a clear idea in mind of what I aspire to do with my life, and that makes everything much easier for me. Confidence is the best word to describe myself during this time of life. I go to a great school that I love, have amazing friends, and have been raised with parents who I want to make very proud. My academic goals include maintaining a 3.0 GPA for the rest of the three years I'm in school and earning an Exercise Science degree. From there, I plan to eagerly apply for jobs as I am tremendously excited about this degree and what it pertains. I am pursuing my passion, and that is what it is all about.…
