Ignatian Examen Purpose
The purpose of the Ignatian Examen is to reflect on the past day or week or sometimes even broader.
History:
St. Ignatius thought that the Examen was a gift from God, and that God wanted it to be shared as widely as possible. One of the few rules of prayer that Ignatius made for the Jesuit order was that Jesuits practice the Examen twice a day: at noon and at the end of the day.

With that being said, through learning these concepts, planning for the subsequent tasks and writing the assigned essays, I acquired a substantial amount of knowledge which is widely applicable.…

Saint Ignatius held a true understanding and devotion to what the Eucharist truly was. In The Spiritual Writings of St. Loyola Ignatius said “He instituted the most sacred sacrifice of the Eucharist, to be the greatest mark of His love”. Eventhough we always pray at home, attend Bible studies or doing community service, there is no other form of prayer greater than the Holy Mass. God only asked one day and one hour to attend the mass. The Holy Mass is a communal prayer. It is like praying as one, big whole family. God is like a father inviting His children to have a reunion and to be united as one. Through the Holy Mass, we can be united as one…
