Laura Fermi once said "Ignorance is never better than knowledge". This means that knowledge is always better than ignorance and also happiness exists when one lacks the truth. This quote is true because when one lacks information or wisdom on an issue it doesn`t hurt them or cause any damage. In the book Crucible by Arthur Miller and The Great Gatsby by the protagonists show readers that when one lacks wisdom or enlightment it causes future consequences which makes knowledge profitable. In the Crucible,Arthur Miller uses the literary element Theme to show how ignorance is never better than knowledge. An example that shows that the critical lens is true is the characters in the novel. Most of the characters are lying- if not to other people, then to themselves. Scott Fitzgerald uses the literary element of Theme of Love to show readers that although being ignorant helps in some situations sometimes,it is never better than knowledge.
