The best way to fight ignorance surrounding our Messenger, Salla Allahu alayhi wasalam, is by getting to know him more, by familiarizing ourselves with who this man was.
He was a man of flawless character, of a generosity like no other, a heart like no other, the best to his family, the best of husbands, the best of society, the best of friends, the best of leaders- a torch of light for the rest of humanity. He made the people who felt at the lowest of lows and made them feel significant, He came down to the level of his people. He was a living Qur’an.
The more you know him, the more you love him, the more you yearn for his presence, and the more and more you want to meet him in the Hereafter.

Muhammad (pbuh) is extremely important to Muslims all around the world, and a sacred symbol for the Islamic religion. Pbuh stands for ‘peace be upon him’. This abbreviation is added along with his name all around the world as a sign of respect for him. Not only that, but Muslims do this to give peace upon him. Muhammad was not able to read or write so his was known as an ‘illiterate’ when he was born, and until he died. Because of this, when ‘Allah’ talked to him, he had to preach to other people and then they had to write them down. All of these saying were kept and treasured and then were finally added into books like the Qur’an and the Hadith. This essay will cover just exactly why Muhammad is so important to Muslims today.…

He was also a very stubborn man. His stubbornness is part of the reason we are all here today but it is also why he is well respected by most of you. He never took no for an answer and when he was told he couldn’t do something, he went the extra mile just to prove that wrong. I remember that when I was a child, my father built an orphanage in Kabul. Although he had no architectural experience, he drew the blueprints and when he was told to hire an architect, he refused. Dare I say, the orphanage was a huge success and I am proud of my father?…

His communication style was simple, straightforward, unerringly to the point, and powerfully persuasive. He was also prayerful and contemplative. Ignorance is bliss they say, but if we seriously consider things, is it? Ignorance is created by one man and his failings to understand that individuals are inherently the same. His failings to acknowledge that people’s preferences do not label them as ‘abnormal’. Ignorance is fear of the unknown, judgement without education and false assumptions inflicted upon groups and individuals in society. Throughout history, we can trace major social and cultural conflicts back to the oblivious attitude of mankind. Acts of racism, homophobic prejudice and sexism has left entities and collections of people perpetually persecuted due to ignorance. The effects of ignorance are heavily imprinted on humanity in many aspects and are significantly noticeable. “It takes considerable knowledge just to realize the extent of your own ignorance.” We are the cause of ignorance and we are to blame, however through action we are capable of amendment.…
