IIC Self Reflection Paper
Nowadays, having a positive personal relationship is essential to all people as it is admittedly beneficial to academic, vocational and social aspects. When facing a problem, we can also receive lots of physical and mental assistances from the friends. Thus, personal relationship is indispensable. When studying in secondary school, I was a passive and inactive child. I did not realize the importance of communication and personal relationship. I was not willing to talk with people who I never meet before and not good at expressing myself so I had only a few social groups. Besides, in order to maintain the relationship with my closest friends, I usually accommodated when encountering problems, and even tried to avoid and stayed away from conflicts. Thus, I am not social well-being and there are many social skills that I need to improve. After finishing the course, my social skills have slightly improved actually. I have learnt different communication skills such as paraphrasing, willing to accept criticisms, and how the communication leads to positive relationship. I also understand communication consists of listening and giving responses mutually. I try my best to apply these skills into daily life. For example, I am now studying science so I need to do many experiments. An experiment contains many complicated steps. Only a minor mistake will result in the failure of whole experiment. Therefore, I communicate with my group-mates and divide the experiments into different parts. Each group-mate is responsible for a part of it. We help each other during experiments. Because of the cooperation and communication of group-mates, the experiments can be completely successful. Moreover, I am a trumpeter of SMPB, an open marching band where the members come from different regions such as students, employee and teachers. Participating in different activities is an effective way to expand the social groups. It can help me to solve the academic, social problems, etc.

There are a lot of books that have been written over what the different spiritual gifts are and how they are supposed to be used. There are quite a few verses in the New Testament that covers the spiritual gifts and how we are to use them. In 1 Corinthians 12:4-8 we are told, “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the sane God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same spirit.” The Bible…
