Illegal Immigration Satire
I honestly don’t think illegal immigrants are hurting the U.S. economy, I think they’re actually helping it out. Majority of the 12 million illegal immigrants are willing to work in low paying and harsh environment jobs, that many US citizens wouldn’t even think about doing. Americans benefit in so many ways by having illegal immigrants doing their cheap labor jobs. Everyone says that illegal immigrants are taking jobs away from Americans, but those same people also want to get raise minimum wage to $15.00+/hr. Will those people want to work in those cheap labor jobs? I don’t think so. Everyone complains about illegal immigrants stealing jobs, but isn’t it embarrassing that an illegal immigrant is “stealing” your job. That illegal immigrant

In truth with the immigrants coming they will open more job opportunities for everyone. The immigrants could open more businesses, allow for expansion in certain businesses to get more jobs. Another myth the anti immigrant groups will try to sell people is immigrants drain America’s social services. The Urban Institute recently took data which showed immigrants pay more of their taxes than they take out of any of the social services. This is due to many reasons like fear of getting any infractions for deportation or because if they do not pay taxes they could have their paychecks withheld.…

The odds there were not in his favor. Five of the nine justices were from slave-holding families. By this time, nearly a decade had passed since Scott first sought freedom through the courts. Along the way John Sanford of New York claimed he now owned the slaves, for reasons that have never been determined. Scott’s lawyers used an argument based on the fact the defendant, Sanford, and the plaintiff were from different states, shifting the focus of the case to whether the Supreme Court had jurisdiction and whether or not Scott was a citizen of the United States.…

¡Cruza la frontera ya!There is a serious circumstance that is troubling America: the inability of we Americans to accept our Hispanic counterparts. This is no forgivable matter; it is surrounding our country. Sure they "illegally" cross the border but is there really a difference between the America-Mexico border and the Texas-New Mexico border? I didn't think so. These citizens who come to America benefit us in so ways; many of which we have never even began to consider.…

Some economists say that if immigrant workers weren't present, rather than native-born workers getting better wages to do the same jobs, many jobs done by immigrants might not get done at all. If immigration reform pushed wages higher for lower-skilled workers, which would probably stop many average Americans from hiring household help they can now afford. The same is true for some manufacturers and service sector employers as well.…

In the novel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, makes use of satire to undermine the morals and beliefs that are upheld in modern people. By underscoring the follies of everyday people, he reveals the real, sycophantic ways of people, where morals and beliefs are only upheld if the majority believes it also. The fear that people have of being ostracized hinders them to change and defy the majority.…

there are a multitude of issues surrounding unauthorized immigrants who stay in the United States. Often times, the media likes to glorify the negative aspects of an issue to promote their own agenda and mindset. In actuality, these people aren’t hurting our economy in any way. These individuals actually account for a significant boost in the economy across the board in many ways. Unauthorized Immigrants have actually been shown to boost the wages for middle class families, do not benefit from federal welfare programs but still pay taxes, help create diversity and often are the source of the labor workforce. Illegal immigration is only negative because it has the word “illegal” attached to it. If we make it easier for these people to gain…

Satire is used by cartoon artists to voice their own opinions on the issues and matters that we as Australians are faced with. A big genre includes Refugees and asylum seeker issues and problems. An example of this is an artwork by an artist living in a Refugee Camp. There is a clear difference between the baby that is in a detention centre and a baby that has freedom. This is done through binary opposites – for every positive there is a negative. An example of this is the baby on the left who only thinks of freedom as it is born in a detention centre and it’s spent their whole life behind bars, the baby is shown thinking about a bird cage, a noose, an empty baby drink bottle, fish bones and candy. This brilliantly showcases the horrors that…

As more and more Americans head to college and aspire to get high paying white collar jobs we are experiencing a massive scarcity of blue collar workers. Everyone is chasing a college education; hence we have no one to the low paying, back breaking jobs. Illegal immigrants provide the backbone for the American labor force. If we are to deport them, it would create a huge shortage of laborers causing the economy to come to a standstill. America has been a nation that has been built by immigrants and we need to stay true to our tradition of welcoming immigrants and providing them with a fair chance to chase the American dream. Immigrants come to United States and work extremely hard to provide for their families and repay them by threatening them of deportation and paying them wages well below the minimum wage.…

There are hundreds of homeless people out on the streets of the large cities in this great nation. With low unemployment rate and new jobs being created every day, people are starting to ask why there are still homeless people in the alleys and on the sidewalks of this country. This seems to be a haunting problem even though it would be so incredibly easy for homeless people to get a job. The general requirements for applying for and keeping a job are to have nice clothes to make a decent impression, a home address and some way to be reached in tight situations. That is it!…

Undocumented immigrants contribute to the economy and create jobs. Due to their lack of education and English skills, undocumented immigrants tend to pursue low-skilled jobs. Because the average American is more educated, they tend to pursue high-skilled work instead. As a result, undocumented immigrants tend to fill menial jobs that are necessary yet undesirable to Americans. Immigrants “do not compete with skilled laborers – instead, they complement them”(Davidson). The differences between these two working classes allows specialization to occur as skilled workers are able to focus on tasks they excel at while low-skilled workers are hired for basic tasks. “Economies...works best when workers become specialized and divide up tasks among themselves” due to increased productivity and skill advancement (Davidson). Moreover, businesses benefit since undocumented immigrants are willing to work for lower wages and increase overall productivity. As low costs allows businesses to gain more profit, the economy also prospers since more business is conducted and more people can be hired. This situation also minimizes the attractiveness for businesses to outsource to less developed countries for their cheap labor or automate labor for lower variable costs. In effect, the existence of undocumented immigrants in the workforce creates new jobs and keeps jobs from disappearing in America. Similarly, the increase in population also…

According to Immigration Impact, “Legal status and citizenship enable undocumented immigrants to produce and earn significantly more than they do when they are on the economic sidelines.” This premise is wrong; all the U.S. cares about is money, how to get more money, and where to get more money. One of the easiest ways for them to generate money is to legalize illegals and not worry about the repercussions. Illegal immigrants should not be allowed because of the problems they bring from foreign countries. Money is not the problem we should address; the problem is what illegal immigrants bring to the United…
