ILS ASSIGNMENT I
There are various access tools available for information retrieval in both prints and electronic formats. These include OPACS databases and so on. In this essay I am going to focus on OPAC. Online public access catalogue (often abbreviated as OPAC or simply library catalogue) is an online database of materials held by a library or group of libraries .it is used principally to locate books and other material available in the library. At university of Zimbabwe they use the millennium library system .to search for information or books at OPAC, university of Zimbabwe library one has to click the search OPAC then choose on the available search points such as keywords, author, title, journal, and call number search.
The advantage of using OPAC is that it enables one to limit his or her search to a particular section of the library because one will be in a position to know where actually is the book he or she is searching for .OPAC is fast and efficient that one can get the book he or she is looking for in a fastest possible way .it also shows the status of the book ,weather it is available or not and it is specific that it shows one the actual position or location of the book.
If one click at the key word search point,it allows he or she to search using key words .One has to type keywords or word ,phrase or phrases and click on the GO to search .for example if one types the word governance ,all sources with the word governance in any field will be displayed .this is not very convenient because it displays a variety of sources which contains that word so the list can be tool big .
If one knows the author’s full name one can contact an author search .one have to start with the last name and then followed by the fist name. After that all books written by that author will be listed in their alphabetical order .for example if one types or wants to search on line catalogue for work by Greg lenington .one would select author ,last name fist and drop down menu and type

Bibliography: NAME : JESUS KUNDIDZORA REG NUMBER : R144168B COURSE : ILS TUTOR R ZIDYA. PROGRAM HPOS QUESTION: DESCIBE OPAC AND PTROVIDE 5 WAYS IT CAN BE USED TO SEACH THE UZ LIBRARY

Before any teaching session begins I would establish some ground rules with each new group of learners. I would explain the reasons for having these and promote discussion about what I expect from them as learners and what they can expect from me as tutor. I would most likely opt for a flip chart to write these down and use this activity to encourage participation by asking the group what they feel is important to them in terms of respect for each others individuality and what they feel is acceptable behaviour, this could include learners writing the groups ideas onto the flip chart or writing their ideas down, collating them and selecting the most appropriate and relevant ones which would then form the basis of an agreement. Examples of ground rules being respecting for each other, turning mobile phones to silent, not interrupting each other and allowing opinions to be expressed, do we allow swearing and if so at what level do we draw the line. Having established these ground rules I would suggest to the group that I draw up an agreement in the form of a list that we all adhere to and can refer to. I would also agree with the group the consequences of infringement of the agreement, this may be in 3 stages, 1 being polite reminder of our agreement, 2 being a discussion in private between myself and the learner and 3 if the infringement continued the learner would be asked to leave the course. This would underpin what the group agree to as appropriate behaviour and that they have set the boundaries and consequences…

Edward uses the word wrath many times, meaning intense fury. Thus, repeating the word he creates a sharp piercing tone that hits you hard. He creates great fear from the second example especially by mentioning that the arrow is pointed directly at ones heart. These metaphors, and figurative language are not hard to understand. Edward meant for it to be this way. One should understand the wrath of god, and know fear, know that eternal perish can be cast upon you with a flick. He mainly uses imagery, rhetorical strategies, and repittion to convey his piercing and fearful tone.…
