Adware is a program installed without a user's consent or knowledge during the install of another program.. There basic function is to advertise companies.
Add-on is any third-party software program or script that is added to a program that enhances the program by giving it additional features and abilities.
Bootleg is an Illegal copy of software that was not purchased from the developer or retail store. Bundleware is software that is included with a new computer, hardware, or other software program. Charityware is software where the author encourages its users to donate a payment to a charity. Bloatware or Crapware is a term given to software that comes pre-installed with a new computer, but really offer the customer no advantage because it's trial software or expires after a few days of use.
Crippleware software are program or utility that does not have all features enabled or has limited capabilities until the user registers the program and receives a code to unlock the program. Dribbleware is a term used to describe software that has been released without proper testing. After this software has been released, it requires several patches and fixes for it to work properly
Driver is a group of software files that enable one or more hardware devices to communicate with the computer's operating system.
Edutainment software is designed to entertain as well as help educate at the same time.
