Impact Of Discrimination On Sarah Alone
The impact on Sarah alone was very severe. There are many examples of how the racism and discrimination really got to her. One major example of this is when Sarah was in Boll Weevils store exchanging and buying new goods for her family. As Sarah was looking for food she left her purse on the counter witch had her freedom certificate inside. As she was looking Boll Weevil looked into her purse and stole her certificate right out of it so she wouldn't be considered ¨Free¨ anymore. If anyone checked for her certificated she wouldn't have it which could force her back into slavery. Another example was from my last paragraph, when Sarah was starting her tailor shop the white people went there just to burn it down just because she was black. These

    Discrimination and prejudice can have a generational impact on families and family members.
