Impact On Junior's Life
The people that make an impact on your life, are the ones that affect the way someone grows. This is proven in Sherman Alexie’s novel, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, as Alexie shares with the readers all the adults and important people in Junior’s life, he then shares the little impact they have on Junior. Junior uses his lifestyle, and the people around him that he grew up with to grow as a person, and better himself in many ways. That is how the adults in his life had such a big impact on him. To begin, family is always a group of people that have an impact on how people later grow as a person. His father, who was a major alcohol influencer, still manages to do what’s best for Junior when he needs him. His mother, like his father, is …show more content…
The adults at school weren’t people he was super close with, but they had a huge impact on him throughout everything. Lastly, there are a few adults in Arnold’s life that weren’t his family, or weren’t apart of the school. First there is Eugene, Eugene was Arnold’s dad’s best friend. Eugene was the one who stitched up Junior’s head when he got injured at the basketball game. Later on, he was shot in the head by a man. Next there is Ted, Ted was the millionaire that was at his grandmother's funeral, he was there to return a pow pow dress he had that he thought was Junior’s grandmother, but he was mistaken. Finally the Andruss Triplets, they were the 30 year old guys that bullied Junior and beat him up. These groups of people had small impacts on Junior, but a little goes a long way. In conclusion, as it was stated in the beginning, the people that make an impact on your life, are the ones that affect the way someone grows.
