Importance of Cleanliness

“Better keep yourself clean and bright; you are the window through which you must see the world”, said George Bernard Shaw. Respected teacher and my dear friends a very good morning to one and all. Today I stand before you all to say a few words on the topic ‘Importance of Cleanliness’. In simple words, cleanliness is the opposite of dirty. It has got high importance. People should learn to be hygienic to lead a healthy life. We need to brush our teeth daily with frequent hand wash before and after meal accompanied with regular bath. As we are social animals, we need to keep our surroundings clean, such as should not litter in public places, no spitting on roads etc. It has often been seen that polluted water bodies with poor sanitation results in excellent breeding grounds for pests. A clean environment makes huge difference between life and death. To stay healthy, we need to make our surroundings clean. Your health and fitness greatly affects the quality of life you are living and the way you live. Failing to keep cleanliness can be a danger to our life. That is the reason, why cleanliness is taught in every one’s life. Cleanliness starts from each of us. It can be personal cleanliness or cleanliness of our room, home, etc. Cleanliness in our home and surroundings includes removal of dust, dirt and garbage. We should dispose our garbage in the specified dust bins. We should be aware of cleanliness all the time.
