Importance of Money
Noone can deny the importance of money in life. However, whether or not it is actually the only thing people are interested in today is much of controversy. Some people believe that money can buy everything when the others assert that it cannot. From my point of view, there are a lot of achievements rather than money although I can live without it. Sometimes, I wish to be a millionaire who does not have to worry about life with tons of burden. But it seems to be meaningless for me to come in for a well-to-do life without endeavor for any reason. Perhaps, for me, money is not able to buy happiness but it helps me to be closer to happiness.
Money is very important because of its value in daily life. Without money, we do not have accommodation, food, and clothes which are considered the basic necessities. In almost developing country, children cannot go to school when their parents do not have money. They have to do manual works in bad conditions and university is definitely far-away dream. Money seems to be the most important issue for those. For those at the middle class, money gives them a comfortable life. I totally believe that many of us would be definitely excited with a trip around Europe or luxury limos. It is so great when coming to a party with perfect appearance with Channel dress, Hermes bags and shoes from Christian Louboutin. In this case, money is not only satisfy a normal life but also bring convenience and proud. The most important advantage of being rich is that your health will be protected well when you have a lot of money. It is true for every social system. A millionaire can pay a lot of money for the best hospital, best doctor and best technology while a poor unemployed woman mainly depend on social subsidies with cheapest medicines. If you do not have enough money, please wait without any requirements. Life has never been equal, particularly between the rich and the poor in the society and demand of being rich is very easy to understand.

Money is needed for food, housing, transportation, and these things are needed for survival. According to Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, there are five phases that you need to accomplish to become a self-actualized person. They are physiological needs, which are food and water, lodging and air. The second phase is security needs, and they need to feel safe and secure, which could be living in a good neighborhood. The third phase is social needs, which are love and belonging, for example family. The fourth phase is esteem needs, which are self-esteem and accomplishments. The last phase is self-actualizing needs, and few people reach this stage. Self-actualizing people are concerned with personal development, and not concerned with what others think, nevertheless fulfilling their full potential. An example is Abraham Lincoln and John F.…

There is a quote “Money is necessary for a person to live a happy life but does not, in itself, guarantee happiness.” In my opinion, it depends on what type of lifestyle you live. If you have an extravagant taste, for example, you will need money to satisfy your needs. But if you live a rather simplistic life, you won’t need nearly as much money to conciliate your desires. Overall, I disagree with this quote.…

This never ending pursuit of money has made the society a selfish one. People forget that there are many things that money can't buy. A Chinese proverb summarizes this argument very well by saying that money can buy a house but it cannot make a home, that it can not buy time, sleep knowledge, health, respect and a good life only the material aspects can be bought but not ones that come from within. Stephen R. Covey in his book ' seven habits of highly effective people also mentions that some of us tend to be centered around money and so our sense of security and happiness is directly related to how much money we have and since its human nature to never be satisfied with what one has he is likely to remain unhappy most of the time. Even a huge increase in wealth is unlikely to satisfy such a person. For this purpose we need to alter our centres to what we really want at the end of our…

Although there will always be those who say money cannot buy happiness, money can lead to personal satisfaction, which in the end leads to happiness. Happiness can be created through the things that one owns, also by what they have compared to others around them. As said in the article, “The Happiness of Pursuit,” one helps obtain happiness because “money can boost happiness if it allows people to obtain more of the things they need and desire” (qtd. in Kluger). This is proven through the fact that when people get what they want, or get more of the things they enjoy, then they become happy, and money can be used to get those things. It can also be argued that based on the amount of money one makes, their happiness can either be increased or decreased. In an article from the Time Magazine, according to Belinda Luscombe, “the more [people make], the more they felt their life was going well.” If it is true that the more money people make, and the better they feel pertaining to how their life is going, then they will definitely be happier depending on their monetary wealth. With the constant arguing back and forth of people as to whether money makes people happy, sad, or has no affect, it is apparent that money does affect people’s lives. Money can both help people get what they want, also help make their lives feel as if they are going well, which are both…

People are what is important in life, as Gatsby learned the hard way. Wealth lasts only for a short time, whereas connections with people will last past death. There is little happiness in wealth, it may remove some of the physical problems such as bills, but there will always be the sorrow that other people inflict. Such as the way of life, nothing is perfect. Money does not change that, money does not make someone a better person, it only makes them more susceptible to others. There are no price tags on…

Although money can buy our necessary needs such as a bed, computers, books, food, and acquaintances, it can't buy respect, common sense, a purpose in life, a close-knit family and a strong work ethic. In my opinion, money can buy the illusion of happiness, but the true happiness has no money value. Also, money can also ruin your social relationship between your friends and family. From the story "The Scholarship Jacket", it told a story of a girl, named Marta, who grew up her with her father, who was a farm laborer, but he didn't make enough money to feed eight of his children. So she moved to live with her grandparents But despite having no money, she had a loving family, and it didn't stop her from working hard to achieve her goals, to have…

People let money rule our lives so of course it’s going to affect us, and impact everyone’s lives, as the saying goes “money makes the world go round”. What defines the classes though? Is it a nice house? Good car? Sending your kids to private schools? No it’s not that because anyone can do that no matter what your financial status if you know how to do it right. It’s the amount of money you have sitting in your bank accounts, it’s about the kind of job you or your parents have, it’s about the way you act and your social circle of friends. Although money makes the world turn, is it a good thing to have money and be in that upper class of people?…

I disagree that money is the most important thing in life. Everything in life requires money, but little did people know there are many other things that should come before it. To some people money means everything to them, to me money is important but it’s not the most important. You need money to survive, to meet our basic needs, to provide for ourselves and our families. Other than that, money is only able to buy you materialistic things, but when it comes to love, happiness, etc. Money is useless.…

Of course, money is important. There are lots of things money can buy, including social status and convenience of life. Even when choosing jobs, many people look at the pay before considering what the job actually involves. Some people says, "What is important is how much money you earn, not what you do at work."Well, I don't agree with this point. A full-time worker normally spends at least eight hours a day, five to six days a week at work. This means that if a person doesn't enjoy their work, they will have to waste away that much time. They will be miserable and bored during worktime. I'm sure there are people who say money can make them happy. But is it true? Is it really worth wasting one-third of our lives just for money?…
