Importance of Technical Education
The main aim of any education, be it primary education or secondary education or anything thereafter should be to help students to gather knowledge, develop character, develop a never-say-die attitude and hone skill sets which will help them become successful citizens of the world.
While primary and secondary education will go a long way in building the moral fabric and attitudinal strengths of students, special skill sets in specified areas of focus is best learnt through special courses which are done usually after a student completes his secondary education.
Technical education is a field which takes care of honing and developing special skill sets which ultimately determine the student’s employability or otherwise. Hence for the development of the youth and to make them job-ready, it is highly important to have the best of technical education facilities. Technical education again should teach the student to focus on specific skills after identifying his areas of strength. This is a tough job and calls or close observation of the student. Technical education could be best taught with a combination of classroom sessions and also by taking recourse to online education because this form of education is going to redefine the meaning of education is years to come. Today’s technical education unfortunately is the domain of a select few who are able to afford it. If technical education is to make a big difference to the earning potential of a student, it has to be made more all-encompassing.
In the end continuing education beyond the secondary level requires a lot of investment in terms of infrastructure, student facilities, specialized teaching faculties and above all a new approach to teaching. Unless we start seeing the young community as a national asset, things would not change on the ground radically. Change should take place and it should happen fast if we are to see the benefits of education reaching all.

My philosophy of Career and Technical Education revolves around a few basic principles. First, I believe that formal education is a necessity in the recipe for success. Gone I believe are the times where a student could drop out of high school and still find a rewarding modest paying career. Another belief of mine is that education should prepare people for specific jobs rather than just a broad field education. Having a highly skilled workforce is dependent on people being well-versed in their field. My third belief is that legislation has provided the foundations for Career and Technical Education and will continue to be influential in the future. Lastly, I believe that the explosion of technology over the last 20 years has helped Career and Technical Education grow and will continue to be a driving force going forward.…

The first and foremost purpose of education is to give everyone an opportunity as a means to succeed in life by providing the perfect place for critical thinking and for personal opinions to develop. As Emerson puts it “every young man is born with some determination in his nature and is a potential genius” (a). Education is a way of enlightening the thought of an individual a way of fostering that inner genius in everybody. It is to create a spark and create the sense of realization about the purpose of life, world and the universe. By having the skill of critical thinking, people will be able to do things with logic and reason why the other things are illogical. It should help learners to discriminate the knowledge and ignorance in the world, light and dark, space and time, life and death, world and unworldly, illustration and illusion, finite and infinite, etc. Education is what life is offering us. It is the concept of uniqueness with every teaching with every individual. This will allow people to foster own ideas. No one person will have same input and same output. School is a place “where people go when they are not satisfied with their “real world” lives and want a change” (c). Kyoko supports this idea that a school should be the place where students will cultivate their ideas and prepare themselves for the world outside of…

Education’s objective is to help people to learn the concepts of socialisation and of citizenship into a society, ultimately preparing individuals for entry into the workforce.
