IN BANGLADESH NAVY
Introduction
1. Every country is guarded externally and internally by plethora of armed forces. Army guards a country’s land, Air force is for air field and water territory is guarded by fleet of Ships known as Navy or maritime Forces. Mankind fought their wars amongst waters for preeminence over each other. In modern times, every country maintains forces for the defense and navy is accountable for safeguarding a country’s shores in war as well as peace time. Although small, Bangladesh Navy has proved its spirit time and again in all the past decades.
2. Bangladesh Navy is tasked with protecting the nation's territorial waters, safeguard Bangladesh's economic interest and exercise maritime control within the EEZ and the continental shelf. In the present era, Bangladesh Navy seeks implementation of an ambitious plan to upgrade it into a three-dimensional force by introducing new frigates, submarine, maritime patrol aircraft, helicopters and other high-tech combat equipments. Bangladesh Navy will obtain capability of an operational three-dimensional force if it can acquire their aptitude in sub-surface warfare.
3. Already the purchase of newly commissioned MPA has opened the access to watch over maritime boundary in shortest possible time. But still BN is far away to achieve the title of three- dimensional force as the procurement of the maiden submarine of BN fleet is still on process. Considering the national budget limitation and the defense policy of Bangladesh, Unmanned Underwater Vehicle or in short, UUV possibly will be a better choice to enter into the regal group of ASW capable Navies.

4. An Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) is a robot which travels under water without requiring input from an operator on board. A classification of UUVs includes non-autonomous Remotely Operated underwater Vehicles (ROV) – controlled and powered from the surface by an operator/pilot via an
